Not doing maths doesn't mean you're dumb. Ignore anyone who says that. You are simply supposed to pick the subjects you enjoy and excel in, so you seem to be creative person; more literary based than numeracy. And I am going to do Maths at uni; so I know.

I will be doing History, Politics, Film and Media. However I will be 18 when I start mine this year. I see that as an advantage personally, I've been through work for two years and it has definitely changed my mind-set about learning, I'm approaching my A levels feeling confident and willing to take on the challenge. I don't know if anyone else is the same with me on that one.

I'm picking those subjects because they combine my passion for history/current events and the film industry. And probably because I don't consider myself "super" academic, I do like to be a bit creative and practical- and I know those subjects offer that.

But best of luck to everyone, especially those doing Chemistry and Maths, I think I would die on the first day of class trying out those subjects.

Im not sure what I want to take and need help.

Initially I was going to take:

    Maths, Physics, Biology and Chemistry.

But I am also extremely good at art and design and technology (trying not to say this in a boastful way) and have had a natural flair since young. I have always achieved A*'s in both and am predicted them for my GCSE's.

Overall I am an A*/A grade student. I'm predicted 6-7 A*'s and 3-4 A's, but i am also not a very hard worker so will these A levels be too challenging? I don't find Gcse's very hard so im not sure...

My teachers are asking me to take atleast one of the two (art or DT) and I would be stupid not to. I would like to go into Design but I am very sciencey and want to Keep my options open to medicine and engineering etc. I've heard of product design and it sounds good but I also want a well payed career. So what A levels should I take?

I'm thinking design and tech over art as I heard this is a better A level to take? Please help!

I wanna do medicine at uni and i am taking chemi, maths, bio and food tech .As long as you take maths and at least a science you can do meicine, engineering etc but at least you should keep your options open so i would advice that you should do d and t as if you enjoy it you are morelikely to get a better grade in it.

    No it's not.

Chem and bio are all you need. There are no next importances.

yes there is and an arts subject is of next importance if you are applying to places like UCL.

and instead of the arts subject physics is of next importance for place like cambridge.

No there's not, there are one or maybe 2 colleges at Cambridge that require maths or physics.

I'm doing Maths, Further Maths, Economics, Philosophy and Physics. Contemplating an English Lit AS in year 13 as I'll have finished Eco by then.

On a more pressing note, where my fellow philosophers at?
