    Anyone else revising?
Well I should be revising...which is why I'm reading posts on here

Just wanted to moan and complain about my exam really, yes my end of 4th year exam (singular!!). We only have one exam but it's on 14 subjects (Gynecology, Orthopaedics, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine in Horses, Cattle & Pigs, Poultry, Small Animals; Animal Epidemics, Laboratory Diagnostics, Diagnostic Imaging, Anaesthetics, Surgery, Pathology, Emergency Procedures!!!!)

It's written and we have 4hrs  Our last exam was a practical, we take it in turns - our next exam (next February) will be a practical exam like the medics have to take (OSCE) with stations....

Am currently at the "losing the will to live" stage of revision so if anyone else wants to join in with an exam moan, then feel free I thought last year was bad when we had 3 subjects per exam!!!

    me please!!!

Im the in the middle of the "year from hell" exams, they say if you're going to faila year this will be it! I should be studying pharmacology, ive got it on monday. But i turned on my computer this morning and its not saved all the work i did yesterday, so thats put me in a massive bad mood and ive kind of lost the will! But it needs done :-(

i also bumped into someone today who's just failed the exam im going to sit, fun stuff. These exams have been going on since about May the 8th, and im not finishing and getting home till July the 19th, i feel like theyre never going to end! Ok, i think thats my rant done.

My cat (well Cass8008's cat) just knocked a full glass of water all over his head and it went right in his ear, so thats cheered me up a bit lol. He's now drying off on the balcony.

No, because of AQA's stupid UMS system, it's impossible for me to get an A*. I can get a B/C in the upcoming unit and still come out with an A but I'll be 7 UMS off an A* grrr....

We have a year from hell every year it seems, but our last real one was the anatomy, physiology, histology and embryology oral exam 2 years ago.....we "lost" a lot of our year that time!!!

And now here we go again, but if we manage to pass this one then the OSCE is the one that'll make us sit a year out (have lost count of how many have had a "gap year" forced on them by that exam!)

I have absolutely no idea what this means (sorry I took my A levels a LONG time ago ) but whatever it is it sounds bad....surely an A is good enough to meet your offer??

(And I also haven't figured out how to quote 2 different people in one post!!)

Nah, I'm talking about GCSEs, I really wanted an A* but I can't because of my ISA grade. I still don't know how to quote 2 people either

Have a look at this :-)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdmiOhpqlLI

(and if the link doesn't work search for "Finals Fantasy" on Youtube)

It might be about medics but it's very similar for vets!!! Maybe I should be glad that this exam is written after all

It's one of those things you'll learn to cope with as the years go by - you'll learn how you revise best, how to best manage your time, etc.

One day you'll have a moment when it suddenly hits you how 'easy' 1st year was and how you wish you were a fresher again. Granted though you probably don't feel like that now and probably won't for a couple of years!

Yup, I'm revising. Well, trying, but currently feel like I am sinking into a big pit of veterinary information and getting buried by it.

Whoever designed a 2in1 year needs their head testing in my opinion. 13 modules to learn and 2 weeks of study leave.

One written essay paper (3hrs), one written problem solving paper (3 hrs), one MCQ (1hr), one 'spot test' and one oral viva. Grouped so that if you fail one exam you have to resit others in that group as well even if we have passed other papers. Need 40% min on each paper and an overall average of 50%.

I'm rapidly losing the will to live. I realised I had hit a low point this week when I was scribbling notes out and stopped myself....thinking, no, wait, I'd best make this legible for when I need them in August for resits.

I'm looking forward to third year, when it should actually get easier for my year group - one years work in one year will be a novelty!

This website was created for the assistance of students yet all it does is make them heavily procrastinate and so therefore fail exams.

Well, the theory is of course, that we know some of it already from our previous degrees, and that we don't cover *all* the stuff you guys do. In reality, our backgrounds/previous degrees are so varied that most of us haven't covered what they assume we have. And the stuff we don't get taught that 1st and 2nd years do just means we get an abridged version that doesn't make sense and are told we will have to teach ourselves the rest.

I'll be the one sat shaking in the corner of the anatomy museum on the 4th July with caffeine jitters trying to absorb anatomy knowledge before we are finally finished. Actually, that will probably be 50 odd of us Meh...not enough time left to learn everything I need to know, but equally 4th July feels like so long til we finish!

Good luck with yours!! RVC exams seems horrific whatever year your in...

I'm already in a corner shaking, not in the anatomy room though. Will save that for ISF. So close to nervous breakdown it's unreal. And I've established I still know nothing. Ugh.

Just Animal Husbandry left to do and that makes me want to hurt the people that wrote it anyway, so pointless.

Anyone got any stress relaxation techniques as currently I'll be having palapations and dying before I've even got into the exam....
