for a second i was actually thinking about that. but i'm already 22, 23 when starting in autumn. i don't think i can (or should) waste another year... and entry requirements will probably not get better (i.e. easier to meet), eh? not sure about that one, but i suppose they are more likely to go up.

do you know if the department allows you to transfer into 2nd year by any chance?
have an offer to study ITMB at sheffield university... so i could try transferring because it's technically the same course. or i could go and study mgmt + it specialism at rhul and try to transfer within the UoL. not sure if that would actually work out or if ucl is up for those transfers, though...

I would contact Richard and ask him these questions. He's a great guy and goes out of his way to help everyone. He's actually one of the best things about IMB.

I haven't heard of anyone transferring in but UCL doesn't actually do ITMB we do IMB which may be why. I think once you'd been at a uni for a year you'd find it hard to leave too.

I wouldn't say age is a huge issue Obviously its a personal decision. We have a few older students on my course. Europeans who took a gap year or two or students who did national service. You say "waste" a year? Why does it have to be wasted? Get work experience that will help you when you get here. Volunteer, travel. Do anything except for waste it.

As for entry requirements. I personally think they will hold at AAB for another year. Again I don't know this for sure but it only went up this year.

Saying all this, as great as IMB and UCL is. Its not the be all and end all. University is what you make of it there is nothing you can't do from another university that you could from UCL. What's your ultimate goal/aim?

ive got an offer from Queen mary too..but hopefully i get the place at ucl..otherwise its queen mary...omg same..im a lil worried that ucl is a bit like computer science but with chunks of business...but still if i get the offer il be soo happyyy...afterall UCL is one of the best uni's in london...have u ever been to london before?

I don't know for this year as we don't get told much until the day itself. In previous years it has been a group interview though.

I am new to the forum, I'm from France :smile:

I got an offer for this course at UCL. I am now hesitating between this course and the international management course at Warwick (i got an offer too for this one :smile:

)

Is anybody doing one of these courses at the moment ? Or anyone applied there ?

What advice could you give me ?

Haven't been to my interview yet. It's on the 29th of Feb. As i said before my friend who had an interview for engineering had a group interview and said it was quite informal. So I'm not sure. Ask someone who is going/gone on the 8th..
