i think basing medical decisions on a religious text, compiled nearly 2000 years ago by an emperor, as a method of controlling his people, is probably the shakiest thing i have ever heard. yet another reason to turn these people away when they come calling.
(sorry to the person who's rentals are witnesses, not a big fan of religion.)
but no, i don't think you could take the risk of getting done over in court on charges such as assault/battery, so you would have to give blood alternatives (even if they weren't going to work, just to say you had done it, i.e. cover your back), even if that was going to result in their death.
