Re: Ashburne Hall 2011/2012Sounds good(Original post by Camille123)
Yeah it's really nice, purple corridors, washroom, bathroom and kitchen are all clean and in good nick. Plus the rooms are pretty big with a sash window, as well as with an integrated wardrobe. Nah I haven't joined the history group, what is it called? x
do you know what was in the kitchen, was there an oven? I have no idea what were meant to be eating at the weekend, pot noodles all the way probably
Have you had a welcome pack off manchester it gave a facebook group at the top?

Re: Ashburne Hall 2011/2012In the kitchen there was definitely a microwave and two hobs, plus a fridge, cupboards, maybe a freezer, I think there was an oven, but I'm not a 100% sure. Sorry(Original post by emmyk22)

I'm not sure if I've got a welcome pack, I've got a guide plus a confirmation letter, but that's it. Have you joined the Ashburne and Sheavyn House group on Facebook? When are you moving in, plus which part of the country are you from?

Ashburne hall 2012/2013 ??
Hi everyone, i'm new to TSR and was wondering how many of you got into Ashburne for 2012/2013?
I got a place somewhere in the ward (cant remember where exactly) and i will be a second year student and i am studying Aerospace.
It will be nice to meet people here before moving in and would also be nice for returning students to tell us what the place is like?
looking forward to meeting everyone

Re: Ashburne hall 2012/2013 ??
its really nice, its all in pretty much the same building, and ward etc is jsut the names of the corridors. one part of ashburne is all girls, but there is a mixed area, must be ward!
the food is pretty good too, lots of people say like ugh its awful, but its not! the bathrooms are cleaned regularly, the kitchens arent huge but you barely use them apart from making constant tea and maybe a pot noodle on the weekend lol. food isnt provided on the weekends, but its nice to get time where you dont need to be back for dinner. i think breakfast was between 7 and 9? and dinner was half 5 to 7 i think, though i may be half an hour out, i cant remember.
there is a tiny computer room, and 2 music rooms (i challenge you to find them!) which are pretty hidden and soundproof/no one hears.
most people when i was there were pretty quiet, but every so often there were formal meals and christmas parties etc, and everyone groups together to go out for the first few weeks and then you make friends.
its lovely, not crazy and loud, but at the same time, can be a lil crazy. think throwing matresses over the bannister to prepare for a birthday sleepover, climbing out the window for a picnic..etc.. -

I know this question might be a little subjective, but do the guys and girls mix well?
What are you studying? x
