Re: The Cider Society
Shhhhhhhhht! Everything's fine - we can be high-functioning alcoholics!
Also, to echo SciFiBoy, I'm Scottish so 'tis my duty.
And when we're living on depsoc island...(Original post by SciFiBoy)

Re: The Cider Society
My new barrel has arrived and the cider seems to have brewed nicely while I've been away.
Managed to get the cider into the barrel just now actually. Added a bit of sugar, just to carbonate it a bit. I'm going to try the finished version on Tuesday, fingers crossed, hopefully it won't be too bad.

Re: The Cider SocietySounds worthy of further investigation.(Original post by mimimimi)
Oh god, I tried some pyder (a mix between perry & cider) in Manchester the other day, it was beautiful!
Whereabouts do they sell it?

Re: The Cider Society
Shame that all the posts on the first page are about absolutely terrible ciders that don't merit mention. There's a splendid scrumpy at 7.5% that one can just drink by the litre (they come in lovely 2l glass bottles), I will post it on here once I can find its name.
Anyone who happens to be around Tunbridge Wells should certainly head to Noble Wines and pick up a bottle! -
Re: The Cider SocietyOoh, I live near there, just half an hour or so away on the train. I shall make note of this then, thanks(Original post by MrHayden)

Re: The Cider SocietyWelcome! It's not the easiest cider to drink if you're not into strong ones, but it is very pleasant. Pretty good as scrumpies available in the East go.(Original post by CherryCherryBoomBoom)

Re: The Cider SocietyNope, doesn't look like that one. Sounds like another for me to try though!(Original post by Loz17)
