A reply from a newer guy  Now that is something notable.

Yeah, Bristol does accept Bulgarian students. It certainly did send me a conditional offer. It mentioned nothing about a "foundation degree", SAT, or whatnot. Only 5.50 overall, 6.00 in maths and a certificate to prove my TOEFL scores. Worry not.

In general, CompSci students are in a really good position when leaving Uni (provided they get a decent degree level (2:2 or higher) from a decent-ish Uni). The technology sector of industry is growing rapidly, so job availability is much better than for most subject areas (barring things like medicine, for example).

It's impossible to say much more because there are so many other factors that come into things like this (quality of degree, whether you specialised in something, whether you did an industry-placement etc.)...

Most definitely, with those grades you could possibly look at Oxford and Cambridge. I would just recommend you to look at the website. If for some reason it's blocked in your country or you can't view it. I can always copy + paste the information you specifically want and i will put it in a Microsoft word document and i could e-mail it to you

Well imperial looks good (i would love to go there) but i don't want to study in London because the accommodation is very expensive.

Delighted to hear you're intending to apply. The Aptitude Test (MAT) is meant to be hard. The mathematical knowledge and techniques required to do the questions are taken from a syllabus roughly corresponding to the C1 and C2 modules from A-level maths, though the questions are set more variously than A-level questions. As a rough guide those we interviewed in the last round of admissions got 50% or more. I suggest you practice on some of the past papers provided on our website. Good luck with the application.

Hello, I am new to this so please excuse me for anything wrong i type or say, or if this is not the right place to post this question....

I really need help :s-smilie: I have to apply for colleges soon and as the deadline is approaching, I am an IB diploma student and will graduate in 2013 May. I am confused about several points here, I had my mind set at applying in UK but I have heard from people and peers that as UK's economy is declining the job prospects are getting bad and its gonna be a waste of money applying in UK.... I have no idea how much this is true but it is making me confused about where to apply

The second option could be USA, so i wanna know which would be better?

I wanna apply for engineering, Computer or Chemical Engineering.... I prefer Computer Engineering but i do not have Computer Science as my IB course as my school did not offer it :frown: My projected score is a 36 .... and yup I do not have maths HL. i saw the requirements and most of the universities required HL maths for the courses. That kind of made me shift more towards U.S. as in UK i would not most probably get accepted for those courses as i do not have the requirements.... I meet all other requirements except the HL maths and like i have done IGCSEs before in which i meet all the requirements listed. I do not aim for really top universities like Oxford or Cambridge but like Manchester.... and maybe if possible would love to go to Edinburgh...

I think applying to U.S. would be a better choice due to the grades, I wish to know what do people believe about the UK job prospects looking dull and any advise would be really appreciated. I am a pretty good student at all sciences though i have HL PHYSICS AND HL CHEM projected 7 at both... though I am not that good at Maths as i do not like Maths.... Currently a 7 in Maths SL though.

Please help me out....

Thank you
