Now you're just insulting me. I'm a lass. keep digging

When you find out what goes on for NI let me know and i'll add it to the op please
I helped with the OP as well and put it into neat boxes and added the advanced thing and the members list. I'd still say it's like 80/20 to you doing most of the work but i did a chunk...

OOO, but now i can bug you to update it. You need Chilly's new bike on it.

    Hello bikers,

Quick question - how often should one replace a motorbike helmet?

    Morning campers!

I've now got the day off College. Got there at 8.45 expecting to be cooking and my tutor came out of his office with a surprised look on his face. Apparently we were told yesterday that we didn't have to come in unless we needed to do any assignment work.

So as I'm not going out again on the bike until 5.30 as the weather's crap, what do I do? Do I carry on with my MotoGP season on GP '08 or do I find a bunch of films? I've got Wild Hogs on the list to watch today anyway.

    Hello bikers,

Quick question - how often should one replace a motorbike helmet?
i was told every 2 years, unless dropped/crashed

though i think different companies say different things.
caberg and HJC say 2 years, i thin Arai and shoei say 5 years.

I need a new bolt for my seat as it's gone AWOL in the last couple of days. Local bike shop might have one that I can get today. Booking C+S in for Tuesday next week so I'll try and get the bolts at the same time.

 It's not my most favourite film but I love it for the idea that no matter what you do or how old you are, riding a motorbike with your mates is one of the finer things in life.

    Restricted SV650
Like Wiggles has said, the SV650 is a cracking bike! I've had the SV for just over a month now; kind of not by choice. My Fazer was written off back in April.

Both of them have been restricted and to be honest chap, you're not going to notice any of the power loss until you get into the high revs and naughty speeds. The Fazer's inline 4 engine is smooth, quiet and a pleasure to ride long distances with. The SV is a V twin so it's got much more torque and it sounds better when idling and at low revs. It's an absolute joy to ride and I'm so pleased I went for it instead of another Fazer. I've also been told that at 70mph, a fly by sounds pretty decent as well  Having said that, I do miss my Fazer a lot though and I'm still mightily pissed off that the horsebox didn't stop in time. Hey ho, as Rossi said "even the greatest of fairytales must come to an end".

It's a bit of a swings and roundabouts situation as to what you choose. I will say though that the best thing you can do is go to as many bike dealerships as you can; sit on as many bikes as you, find the riding style and position that suits you the most and then scout around for a good condition, second hand machine.

Of course I could. I can get out a Haynes and bosh it out myself but as it happens, I'd rather pay a good, reputable mechanic who I know will keep her in tip top condition everytime than run the risk of ****ing something up.

:ditto: some days I consider learning how to do everything, but it's not worth the bikes that I'll **** up in the process
