Do you think Germany will get 2 Grands Prix again with Vettel's dominance?
Probably not considering these new cities entering the calender. Now there's talk of Hong Kong having a street race as well (would be pretty epic imo).

Both Hockenheim and Nurburgring are great F1 tracks, maybe they can alternate.

Eventually I think Spain will be restricted to having just the one GP or alternate between Barcelona and Valencia.

Catalunya won't be removed from the calendar any time soon, they use it for testing every season so it would be a little bit silly.

I quite like the Valencia circuit but I think it's a little annoying that only street circuits seem to be being added to the calendar (admittedly I've not seen what the Indian GP track looks like yet).

They use Jerez for testing too, that's not on the calender.
It may be a decision for the Spanish council to decide, if one of the tracks is cut it will most likely be Valencia. But considering the investment that went into that track they will push to at least have it every other year in place of Barcelona.

Valencia is a nice track to race round in games. I suspect the DRS will be comical once again this race as it was in Canada.

Speaking of Jerez, it was reported that more people attended on a day of the winter test 2011 than the Turkey GP of 2010 lol. Turkey's track is too good for it to be there, would hate to see it removed.

Jerez is a good point, though Catalunya has been an F1 track ever since it was made, so it's almost like an institution now.

Sadly the Turkish track is about 50 miles from Istanbul, as such most of the locals especially do not bother.

They add street circits because they want another Monaco or Canada. While that is all well and good, i would prefer another Spa.

Everyone in the world of f1 would like another spa. Sadly its just going to be more zero overtaking opportunities tracks. F1 will always follow the money as it has to and not what the fans want.

Spa isn't much of a circuit. There's something in those hills that add magic to that place...

ITT the US circuit next year looks plenty exciting enough!

Yeah I wasn't too fussed about the circuit when looking at the 2d image but when you see the elevation change on the first corner it will be interesting to say the least although I think that track may make a better race in reverse

If it goes ahead that is....

    Also:
More trouble for the new F1 track may be on the horizon as a new city council member, who is opposed to the entire project, is set to be sworn in this week.
Great  sounds nothing more than a bunch of hicks getting all pissy over nothing. Can't see this having much of an effect, but still.....

All the people in Texas opposing the US circuit are likely to be those red-neck beer-bellied southerners who think Nascar is a religion and F1 is blasphemy.

The start looks awesome at Texas. The drivers not being able to see the first corner should make for a very exciting start to the race!

You mean a track that isn't oval shaped isn't a form of blasphemy? :hmmm:

    /redneckresponse

Agreed though, it's one of the problems I guess with hosting it in Texas :teehee: I'd have liked a SF bay area race

I will watch FP1 but FP2 is going to clash with the Tennis. I'm finding the practices more and more boring. Alonso takes first, Vettel with the McLarens not far behind, then come quali Vettel easily, McLaren's and Alonso with Webber in there somewhere and Massa bringing up the rear. With all the tests the team have to do, and tire and engine restrictions its not really a true showing.

Watching the last half hour of FP1 now, and will hopefully catch FP2 later. Looks like we cursed Chandhok seeing as he hasn't got far again.

    Watched Fp2 and FP3...

Not sure about the pace of the different Teams.

Switched to 125cc race from Assen and there was a pack of 10 fighting for the lead and now only 4... Epic racing and it looks like it may rain there...
