    Getting funding from organizations!!
    Hi!
I'm fundrasing for my place at the National Youth Theatre
I've realised that I need to raise a total of £706 to cover the course and accomodation.

I'm trying to get funding from organizations.
I want to contact local newspapers, local council, local businesses etc. (I need the most help I can get!)

Do you think I will get a better response if I personally call them or send them a letter?

    Or should I do both!?

I'm very new to all this!

    Thank You!

    I don't want a loan!
Who would give me a loan anyways?

Ask your school if the parents association can cover the cost. The local parish, local support groups. After you've dried them out, go to county level (i.e. MPs, Connexions etc)

Best bet is to try to get lots of smaller amounts of funding from lots of different sources. Writing out letters will be fine (and quicker). Try and target all sorts of places from national stores to little local groups.

I don't mean to sound rude but I don't understand this ... people/organisations would be willing to fund total strangers needs ? ...
