    Tortoise owners society
    Hello everyone!
I thought I would start a forum for people who own tortoises!
I will start, I have two testudo hermanni boettgeri (Hermanns tortoise) Aged 3 year and 2 years. Tamba and Treacle.

    How about yours?

    Hey

I have a Horsefield called Ace. I'd upload a pic but not really sure how. I'm actually looking to re-home him as I moved away to University a year ago and was unable to take him into Halls with me... My parents took care of him for the year but now it's looking like I won't be able to take him for my 2nd year either I'm on a 6 year course and it's not fair on my parents who have to look after him while I'm away and it's not fair on my tortoise who isn't getting enough attention as my parents have other pets and a young daughter to entertain.

Trouble is, I'm worried about selling him on as I want to make sure he goes to a good home, and also I've been putting it off because I obviously have an emotional attachment to him now having taken care of him for 7 years.

I'd like to give him to a farm or petting zoo of some kind where I know he'll be properly taken care of and bring a bit of joy to some people! It's not something I've yet looked into properly though...

    What tortoises do you have?

(Sorry no turtles or terrapins please!)
:yy: how much did you shell out for them?

I had one called Tidal but it died.
My girlfriend has been trying to convince me that it was just hibernating, but I refuse to accept this. It was dead.

I used to have one until some stupid family member let out the dog, when the tortoise was in its outside pen. The dog knew exactly where to go so that was the end of it. When I get my own place with a big garden I will definitely get a tortoise or two, when i can give it a proper big fitted outdoor pen.

As I see the photo, I would say that one of your tortoise is interest in chemistry. I guess I like it!
