Hey! I'm applying for pharmacy this year too  I'm stuck between choosing Notts or Kings? Both have good courses but I've heard Nottingham is more competitive to get in to? But applying to Manchester and LSoP too! Woo!
Anyone applying to manchester what are your predicted grades? Do you think it's worth applying there (entry requirements AAB-ABB) when i have the predicted grades BBB?

Sounds like you could be very useful to me, I'm stressing over reading interview already! :P

It's not too bad..you have to do a maths or chemistry (or both) question but they're really easy! My reading interviewer was a pharmacy practice lecturer or professor so my interview was heavily based on pharmacy practice and like ethics and what makes a good pharmacists etc. However my interviewer at Manchester taught pharmacokinetics so my interview there was very drug based! My advice to you when you've been offered an interview, is to probably go on the uni's website and try and find a staff list and see if you can find what the tutors teach. Because I'm pretty sure your interview will be based upon what your interviewers specialises in. Also no one asked me about anything on my personal statement :s

Hahaha! Thats good, I like that.. suck up to their specialist area
Thanks for your help, I'm hoping its not very academic or i'll get scared and like be a douche :P Maybe that means the personal statement was so good, its raised no questions :P Are you in university now then or are you deferred entry?

I'm really surprised LSOP gave ABB offers last year, they must have loved you and your personal statement. Were any interviews "difficult"? Good luck with your application.

I think Nottingham's better. Honestly. I've heard that Notts is one of the best Pharmacy school in UK. I would go to Nottingham, if I didn't want to go to London so much XD

Nah I don't think LSOP were giving ABB offers last year, I was offered AAB from there too but I didn't put them down as my firm choice. I would probably say the Manchester interview was the hardest as the test was the longest and my interview was very 'drug' based. But it totally depends on your interviewer. Good luck!
Are there any other IB applicants around here?

My predicted grades are:
Chemistry HL- 6
Biology HL- 6
History HL- 6
Italian ab- 6
English SL- 5
Maths Studies- 7

I think my college automatically predicts the three extra points, which gives me an overall prediction of 39 (though I'm not sure that this is realistic)

Slightly worried about the maths, but from what I can gather, getting a seven and having achieved an A at GCSE, doing studies shouldn't be a problem.

Applying for Bath, UEA, Nottingham, Keele and Brighton, most of which ask for relatively unreasonable grades compared to A Levels!

I also did a week's work experience in a local independent pharmacy which led to me getting a more or less full time job over the summer and a Saturday job during term time.

Getting rather terrified about it all to be honest!

I spoke to Manchester yesterday as I wanted to apply there with BBB but they said they'd only accept applications with predicted grades off ABB because of the course being so competitive.
Awwww , Just spent an hour editing the Pharmacy Degree article to include Entry Requirements for Scottish and Irish applicants and then all my work proved to be useless. Anyone who can actually edit it, would you please think about including those things? Makes life a hell of a lot easier for those of us not in England, Wales or NI.
