Think I remember seeing the first one, yeah.

Are those Hayley Williams and B.O.B. lyrics getting incorporated into it? :mmm:

I like the second one for both the colour and how it fits together. The [volume keys? :colondollar:] sliders might integrate better if they come to the same level as the top of the rest of it, or touch the blue line? :beard: IMO.

Ah no those were meant to be a different tattoo, but as you can see I didn't pay attention and all the words eneded up different text and size

Yeah I really want this one in colour, especially if I can have as close to bright as possible
For the faders I think I'd want variation in levels. Might re-arrange it to fit better
Thanks

Were you and R-KAM separated at birth? Both from Glasgow, both love Hayley Williams. :moon:

The colour does look good. :awesome:
Make sure you post the re-draw in here.

Thankyou and I will do :awesome:
As a question, if I got a tattoo on the side of my thigh and then lost a lot of weight, what would happen to it? Is it best to wait until I've lost it before I get any work done?

It depends on how drastic the weight loss is. It will affect different people more or less depending on the person. Small weight loss would not change it dramatically, you might be best speaking to the tattoo artist regarding the weight you plan to lose after the tat:smile:

Weight Loss

Slow weight loss (Exercise etc.)

The impact on the tattoo(s) will vary depending on how much weight is lost. Even though there will be some impact on the tattoo, there is most likely not going to be any change to the tattoo. The most drastic cases are things such as lines, which may be close together, may blend together, creating a sort of fuzzy line. Again this is again the most drastic case. This is due to happen more if the tattoo is very detailed but again it will not be altered too much that it is ruined nor noticeable unless examined very closely.

Fast weight loss (Surgery)

There will be significant change to the tattoo as the body will not be used to the changes as opposed to that happening over time slowly as stated above. This is due to skin having more chance of sagging in certain areas of the body.

Weight Gain

Fat etc.

Even though you may try to stop weight gain, it does happen to some. This again just like above will cause slight changes to the tattoo(s) but nothing that will be too drastic. The main concern with weight gain is that it carries the risk of stretch marks. This is what will cause significant damage to your tattoo(s) as it will ruin the ink. The deeper the stretch marks the more damage will be done.

Pregnancy

There is only going to be damage to the tattoo(s) if it is on the middle of the body. This will be due to the weight gain happening is such a short period of time, also there is again the chance of stretch marks. If you are lucky enough to not have stretch marks, the damage from the drastic weight gain won’t be fare on the skin.
You are encouraged to be careful with tattoos that may be later affected by pregnancy.

Growing/Muscle Gain

Small amounts of toning and muscle gain shouldn’t change the appearance of the tattoo(s) much. The problem arises if you plan on really bulking up such as through weightlifting etc. as significant changes to the muscles may cause distortion of the image. A tip to help avoid this is to have tattoos placed in good relation to the muscle. It won’t guarantee no damage will be caused, but it will help lower the intensity.

If you are working out after a tattoo, you may want to avoid working out until it has fully healed.

Again these are guide lines, and you should always talk to your tattoo artist if you plan on any major changes to your bodies build.

Feel free to check spelling etc. :colondollar:

Ah, sweet. Good stuff. :h:

In all honesty, the FAQ hasn't gone anywhere yet. :colondollar:

Feel free to have a go at assembling the material yourself though :ahee:

I'll try and get on it, and give this a proper read through, later/over the next few days.

Until then, blame

I knew there was a bit where everyones posts where but I can't remember where:teehee:

I think it should all make sense, perhaps just some revised grammar etc. needed.

Our leader seems to have lost his way. Placing blame on others is a bannable offence :sadnod: Watch your step, Bambi, we have a close eye on you.

As for the FAQ. I can't even remember where the posts are :facepalm2: I am sure they are all compiled into one post somewhere in this thread tho. I may have a looksie later on...

This was my first tattoo. Got it in January 2010. It says «Follow the White Rabbit», and it's inspired by Alice in Wonderland (not Matrix, as many people think). If Alice hadn't followed the white rabbit, she would never have gotten to see Wonderland. So it's a reminder to take chances in life.

LOVE the script of that, I'm getting some word tattoos soon and may take your pic in to show the style of script I want! It's swirly but legible!
Really nice script!

Yeah, I really like it. I was originally planning on getting a very different type, but the tattoo artist suggested this, and I instantly fell in love with it. A lot of people have asked me what font it is, but it's just drawn freehand, I think.

I'm sure I've seen that script, or something very like it, before. Did your artist show you an example beforehand?

Nope, he didn't.
Can i get some opinions please guys.
I know what i want and have wanted something like it for years.

I would like the Guardian Angel that was done on Ddavid Beckhams Back (or something very similar obviously), done again like he has it.

How would i go about getting it drawn and designed, because i really cannot draw to save my life :frown:

Print off a big, good quality picture of it.

Search for tattoo artists / studios within an area you would be willing to travel (use Google maps for example).

Browse their portfolios / galleries to find an artist that specialises in black and grey / religious work.

Contact them with your idea. No good artist will copy a tattoo, but they will be able to design something similar, if that's what you're after.

Go from there. They might have you pop down the studio for a consultation, where they might take a stencil of your back to see what size they've got to work on, discuss appointments, prices, take a deposit etc.

HTH.
