Mathematics help

I'm not sure whether this is in the right thread, but I was wondering whether somebody would be able to help me with a maths question.
I've just finished the second year of a language degree, and achieved an average score of 55%. Our second year is worth 25%, and the final year 75%. I'd really like to achieve a 2.1 in final year, and was wondering if anybody would kindly be able to tell me a formula to work out what score i'd need in final year in order to achieve a 2.1 overall, taking the 55% into account? I would greatly appreciate a response, thank you.

You need at least 61.67% in your final year in order to get a 2.1.

Wow, thanks a lot for the help, I would have never been able to have worked that out lol

You'd need 61.7% in your final year to get a 2:1 (assuming that 2:1 is 60%)

sorry this was late :frown:
