I was guessing it was during his time that Brookes became a polytechnic. I gather I was incorrect - if so, please do forgive me.


All polys became ex-polys in 1992. Hence, you have the Torys to blame :biggrin:

I think Oxford Brookes gets a bit of a bad reputation by being in Oxford so it gets compared a bit and tbh in comparison to Oxford you can understand why people call it rubbish. But if it was situated anywhere else in the UK (except Cambridge) then it wouldn't get this because it is actually a really good university that ranks in the top 20 in the league tables usually. It's not brilliant in everything but then again few places are. Its done really well to improve so quickly from its days as a poly.

I don't really know much about UWE but someone I know thinks its got a brilliant psychology course!!!!
