I'm sure a lot of people here have played fantasy football, both in the Premier League and other cup competitions, well it's back (soon).

You'll be able to make a team soon and transfer players without it costing you any points before the start of the season in August.

Once you've made a team select the 'Leagues' option and enter the code attached in this post (to be added). Please do not post the code on here as we don't want every Tom, Dick and Harry joining, just TSR members. If anyone requests the code, direct them to the attachment here (to be added). There will be 2 codes in the post, one for the regular league and one for the Head to Head league. You can join either, or both.

Registrations will only be accepted if you post your team name in this thread. You have until the end of September to do so or you will be removed from the league. This is to prevent randoms joining who have gained access to the code. Anyone who has not submitted their team name and is in the Head to Head league will be removed before the league kicks off.

To ensure that only proper members of TSR are in the league, you should ensure that you have a post count of 500 or more (from anywhere within TSR) by the end of September. Don't be put off by this as it may change or be scrapped altogether to save me time from going through and removing people

Phil hasn't posted in over a month but comes rushing back to create the thread for a game that hasn't even started yet

Definitely need a minimum post count, i'd say 250/300 is fine but i'm not too fussed. It's always amusing watching some randomer come into the thread, moan about the rule and promise to keep on posting, and then disappearing forever

Also, anyone know when the game actually starts?

I'm in definitely. Can't bloomin wait for the new season and alll that tinkering. Had a breakdown last season with transfers, so i plan to do well this year.

I reckon it should be extended to a minimum of 600 posts for entry. However if we're sure that a tsr member will contribute, but since their fairly new, they should still be added, to the league.

The lads at fantasyfootballscout get a heads up before the game is unveiled. Rumour is it's around the 11th

Was wondering when I'd have to message you to start this thread. What an institution ffs

500 post rule served us well last year, as Louis said there were some complaints but then those members disappeared off into the sunset so not exactly sorely missed. I suffered from the same fate two seasons ago as I joined the site in September, and now I am the greatest fantasy sportsman on the site tbf If anyone was that fussed it wouldn't take much spamming over the course of 3 months to reach 500 posts anyway but I doubt anyone would go to such extremes just to lose to me at a game.

I almost hope it starts next week as I'll be away for 3 weeks and won't waste days tinkering with preseason squads

Also if it makes things easier why not have a list of entrants that each member copies and pastes adding their TSR name and team name to save one person having to collate it all at the end

Faded away towards the end, but highest was around 6000 which I think is quite good

It leads to the problem of two people posting at once and someone inevitably gets missed off the list. There must be an easier way...

As long as a few sensible people are around to mop things up where necessary it won't be so bad. Unless you'd rather wait until the end of September and go through each post one by one
