Re: 2011 British Grand PrixI see what you did there(Original post by Xenomorph v2.1)
Yeah I heard about their argument, apparently it got really heated!
According to BBC News the Renault teams are getting arsey that the Mercedes Engine injects fuel on 4 cylinders on the over-run, surely that's what they were meant to be banning in the first place?? -
Re: 2011 British Grand PrixThat'll partly explain why I think the Red Bull sounds like they are running the off throttle blown diffuser. I hate that noise.(Original post by PeeWeeDan)
You guys hearing all this bull**** about Whitmarsh and Horner having a public argument, and the amount of off throttle gases being increased from 10% to 50% because Renault complained?
The Renault's sound different and they look like they've lost a hell of a lot of performance because of it.
Interesting to see Stefano Domenicali and Martin Whitmarsh have a long conversation during FP2 with each other and deciding to go into the garage once cameras arrived.
They should hire Jim off The Apprentice to talk to Charlie Whiting. It'll take about 10 seconds before he'll be convinced that off throttle blown diffuser should be made completely illegal.Last edited by chaz1992; 08-07-2011 at 20:18. -

In politics news, Horner did not look very happy at all in the RBR garage today so not sure if the FIA have changed their mind AGAIN!

Showers in the vicinity!
FP3 indicates a straight fight between Ferrari and Red Bull however Mercedes and Renault have been allowed extra exhaust gases for this race resulting in a very angry Horner. -
Re: 2011 British Grand Prix
Qualifying results...
Webber
Vettel
Alonso
Massa
Button
Di Resta
Rosberg
Maldanardo
Kobayashi
Hamilton
Not a true reflection of pace due to a wettening track.
The Mercedes engined cars with the pretty substantial advantage are only 5th, 6th and 10th.
Button was a full 1.3 seconds off the pace of Alonso.
Ferrari and Red Bull in another league. -
Re: 2011 British Grand Prix
Well, that was an utter shambles from McLaren

Thanks for all the corporate horse dung you were feeding us all week, cheers for raising false hopes
Lesson to be learned is, always take what the drivers say in anger at the end of the races. Both Hamilton and Button said this would happen after Valencia's race and it turned out to be true
I think it will be a good race between Alonso and the Red Bulls. Maybe if they're this close in quali they may even turn out faster in the race.
Di Resta IS THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
