Haha I was. I don't know, I never really thought to alter the amount of reps. I do 5 for everything else so thought I would for them as well! Such a noob
Well if you find it OK...but I agree with Blind Monk that it might be better to do fewer reps and keep your technique as tight as poss. That's how I feel personally but everybody's different!!

    Re: LeighAnne's Blog
After going AWOL slightly this weekend due to work and shooting (and laziness) I was back with a vengeance today

    Bench
    30kg x5
    32.5kg x5
    32.5kg x5
    35kg x4
    35kg x4
Nearly there now. Still weak but I'm seeing improvements which is good.

    Back Squat
    20kg x5
    40kg x5
    45kg x5
    50kg x5
    60kg x4
    60kg x3
Struggled to stand up with the last one, but felt good managing 60, especially after not squatting for over a week.

    Good Mornings
    20kg x5
    25kg x5
    25kg x5

    Face Pulls

5 minutes on the treadmill with a sprint to finish. My poor legs are slightly painful now

AWOL again My schedule is extremely annoying at the minute, think I'm managing about once a week. Better than none though I guess.

    C&J
    20kg x3 (hang clean)
    30kg x3
    35kg x3
    37.5kg x3
Just getting back into it so didn't go for any higher. And it is a LOT less tiring doing 3 than 5 :L

    Deadlift
    37.5kg x5
    50kg x5
    55kg x5
    55kg x5
    60kg x5

    Calf Raises
    20kg x6
    20kg x6
For once there was a box in the weights room so just fancied doing some of these. Legs are dead now.

    Quick session today

    Bench Press
    20kg x5
    30kg x5
    35kg x4 f
    35kg x3 f
    40kg x1 f
My boyfriend did 40 after me, and I wanted to see if I could at least manage one. Fed up of being completely stagnant on bp now

    Front Squats
    20kg x5
    30kg x5
    35kg x5
    40kg x5
    45kg x5
    45kg x5
First time doing these properly for sets. Loads harder than back squats!

    Good Mornings
    20kg x5
    25kg x5
    25kg x5

Another big gap in between visits!

    Deadlift
    50kg x5
    55kg x5
    55kg x5
    60kg x5
    65kg x5
    65kg x5

    Strict Press
    20kg x5
    22.5kg x5
I used to be able to do 27.5 easy enough, definitely need to work that back up!

    Back Squats
    40kg x5
    45kg x5
    50kg x5
    50kg x5
    Wasn't feeling squats today :/

    Re: LeighAnne's Blog
So uni hindered my workouts more than I thought it would! But this term I'm in a lot less and soon I'll be back at home so I'm trying to get my butt in gear again. Hopefully writing it down will keep me motivated. Obviously today's weights were pathetic compared to how it used to be... but I'll get back!

    Back Squat
    20kg x5
    30kg x5
    30kg x5
    35kg x5
    35kg x5
    40kg x5
Was reasonably pleased with these, my legs are still hurting slightly from the gym 2 days ago anyway so it could've been worse!

    C&J
    20kg x many
Just practising with form, my legs weren't pushing half as much as they should, though this was due to the squats! Wanted to remember what it felt like to do a clean though.

    Strict Press
    20kg x5
    20kg x5
    25kg x3 (f)
    25kg x3 (f)
According to my last post this was actually better than I managed then! I have been doing netball at uni though so this probably helped and stop me slipping too far down arm wise.

    Face pulls x many

    Re: LeighAnne's Blog
I have been to the gym between my last post and now, but unfortunately I tend to go at really busy times when the weights room is full and I'm still getting the courage up to go in there when it's that busy :/ But back in there today!

    Back Squats
    20kg x5
    30kg x5
    30kg x5
    40kg x5
    40kg x5
    45kg x5
Happy with the 45, legs are pretty dead now though!

    Good mornings
    20kg x5
    20kg x5

Front squat just to get the feel of it again: 20kg x5 twice

Also did some arm work with the dumbells, they're definitely feeling it now!

    Re: LeighAnne's Blog
Well the sprained ankle that I got 2 weeks after my last post wasn't extremely helpful... but now I'm back home for the summer and don't really have much to do so the gym is calling again. I much prefer my gym here to my uni one so hoping to try and get back into it.

    Back Squats
    20kg x5
    30kg x5
    30kg x5
    40kg x5
    40kg x5
Might have managed more but my ankles still a bit painful, getting down low enough started to hurt with the heavier weights so I thought it'd be best to stick to 40.

    Bench Press
Smith machine as no spotter and I'm pretty atrocious at BP. Not sure what the weight of the bar is though :/
    Bar x5
    +10 x5
    +15 x5
    +20 x5
    +20 x5
Happy with form and I couldn't have done any more, just wish I knew quite how heavy I'd managed!

    C&J
    20kg x many
    working on form again

    Deadlift
    40 x5
    40 x5
    40 x5
Haven't done deadlifts in so long it was great to just do some and remember what my form should be like!

Back up to London for my summer ball and visiting people this week, so won't be able to gym again until next thursday :/ but I'm determined to get going as much as I can.
