What revenge? Cersei doesn't have anything left except for Tommen and Myrcella, and killing them is a bit harsh She won't even enjoy being queen because the people don't fear her, and knows that any power she has can be taken from her. Perhaps the worst thing that could happen for her would be Tyrion being king

I think it could also be either Sansa or Daenerys, due to the prophecy about the young and beautiful queen who will kill/overthrow Cersei. Most likely imo it'll be Tyrion+Daenerys once they arrive back in Westeros after the Battle of Mereen. I think Arya will be sent to kill Sansa and will refuse and turn against the Faceless Men, or she might be sent to kill Daenerys.

The Lannisters as we know (and love ) them are already in tatters by the end of ADWD.
To be replaced by the Tyrells, who are just as useless

That's really interesting, I hadn't even begun to think that Arya might have to target Sansa - that would be an interesting situation. I think she's been (or will be) asked to kill Daenerys though, as a lot of people who visit the House of Black and White will have asked to have her killed.

I think you're right about Tyrion and Daenerys overthrowing Cersei. I wonder what will happen to ol' Margaery Tyrell?

Well given her track record, I'd say that if Aegon manages to take King's Landing, she'll probably try and become his queen.

the old hag said all cersei's children would be crowned but she'd outlive them all, so do you think tommen will die (leaving myrcella to be crowned) or just that the dornish sort of crowned her? what's the betting on myrcella being murdered by some dornish guy?

After watching the series on TV I went and picked up the first book, just finished reading and very much enjoyed it, more than the series and now parts of the series make more sense after reading the book, gonna pick up the 2nd off Amazon.

I felt very bad for Cersei in the last book (was it the last book? It's been ages since I read the series). I know she deserves it for all her plotting and deception, but the chapter with her walking through the crowd naked made me feel for her. How humiliating, for your character and reputation to just go crashing down around you.

hmm that other red priest (someone beginning with B) did keep coming back to life a few books ago, you could be onto something there...

Ah you mean Beric, yeah the red priest managed to revive him but that wasn't exactly what I meant. Melisandre has a POV in the last book for seemly no reason, Jon was in it so why not show the whole chapter from his POV like we are used to? I think because we will see more of melisandre's POV, perhaps she will be the one to discover him. Also the red priests can cure normal injuries too, cuts and similar stuff. Melisandre could just heal the stab wounds. I doubt Jon was left as a cliffhanger just to die at the start or in between the next book.

also despite the waste of ink that was affc ( I dont think ADWD was that bad.)
I'm pretty sure his fanbase is alot bigger than it was when ASOS was written thanks to the series
Yeah that was a typo on my part, serves me right for posting at 2am

Finished AFFC the other day and have a quick question:

    Spoiler:
    Show
To whom was Qyburn referring in Cersei's last POV chapter when he says to her: "My queen, your champion stands ready. There is no man in all the Seven Kingdoms who can hope to stand against him..."? It's not one of the Kingsguard, as Cersei goes on to say how she cannot use them for this reason. I may just be being a bit dense here, or perhaps it's a matter of speculation, or maybe something revealed in ADWD. Anyone care to shed some light on this?

I'm about a hundred pages into ADWD and I'm already enjoying it a lot more than I ever did AFFC.

EDIT: Found the answer to my question Although seems like quite an interesting topic for discussion.
