I still have not been allocated a room, I was so caught up in results day I didn't even think about accomodation until now. I'm so worried because if I haven't got a room I'm not going to be able to study there
Don't worry, you will get a response from them soon. This time of year will be the busiest due to so many students applying and needing accommodation. Be patient Is all I can say. If you are still worried then perhaps it might be a good idea to email rc.accommodation@northumbria.ac. uk and see what they say.

Do you guys know if anyone can join any of your sport teams? Or do you have to have taken a sporting degree?

& 1 further question, when will your website be updated for course details/requirements for the 2012 entry along with the financial changes? Just to see if the fees and requirements will change for the accountancy BA Hons degree?

The sports teams are open to anyone . I've heard they should be at the societies fair on the 21st Sept. Check out the links I've provided below for more info.

And for the website update it will be updated once we get the current new students all settled in, I would personally order one of our prospectus' for 2012/13 Year to get info now though! Link below will get one for you!

    Hi!

I am interested in MPA course at Northumbria, and I was thinking about applying for year 2012/2013 commencing in September. However, my problem is I have 3rd class honours, and will have about 2 years of experience in public sector. Would I be qualified for an admission?

Drop an email to our admissions team at er.admissions@northumbria.ac.uk and they will be able to give you some better advice, make sure you put in as much detail as you can about what your after!

Also, please bare in mind that you won't get a instant response as they are quite busy this time of year given we are about to intake all the September students!

Ahhhhh thank you will check them links later

Another question: Both your website and UCAS' website have different opinions on what the entry requirements are for the accountancy BA Hons degree...

Your site: http://www.northumbria.ac.uk/?view=C...ge=requirement (claiming 300 UCAS points needed)

UCAS site: http://search.ucas.com/cgi-bin/hsrun...n=1102888#CSRA (claiming 320 UCAS points needed)

    Which one is it?

Don't the points go up anyway for 2012 entry? I'm guessing it'll be 320 points.

Ahhh well, I already have 100 points from the AS levels I'm dropping (General Studies seems to be accepted) & that means I only need 220 points from 3 full A-level scores not bad

I can confirm in the 2012 prospectus Accounting BA is 320 UCAS points.

(The reason behind the difference is that our website is still showing 2011/12 tarrif)

That 320 mark has to be made by full A-levels? Or can a short-fall be made up from AS level results?

I know that you could make the short-fall with AS scores from last year but I'm just wondering whether that would be the case for a 2012 entry too?

I can't imagine that would be changing.
The prospectus would specify any additional requirements for the courses other than the UCAS points so you would know.

Ahhh, well I am going to your next open day on Saturday 8th October - so I'll just ask all of the final course details then and pick up a prospectus too
