The Arab Republic of Egypt recognises South Sudan but will not begin full diplomatic relations with it until after government elections in September.

Re: Resolution 11/05 Formal Recognition of South Sudan as sovereign country
The Tunisian Republic recognises the state of South Sudan, and intends to establish diplomatic releations with it. We would accept Southern Sudan into the general assembly with all the powers granted to any other General Assembly country.
