    Fresher needing accommodation help
Im going to be studying Architecture year 1 this coming year at lincoln and have left it pretty late to sort accommodation. Im not too fussed about living in student halls so does anyone have any tips on how to find letting agencies that will help me find a house with just 1st year students cause im at a loss.

    cheers

I don't think many people live in a house in their first year - there are plenty of apartments that aren't halls that are full of first years

    Pavilions, Junxion, Hayes Wharf...

Mezzino and ClubEasy are the two biggest operators

I'd recommend being with freshers for your first year tbh,
just to make some friends etc.
And i'm down for starting architecture this year my accommodation choice is pavilions should check it out, the only thing is that you've left it pretty late and the more reputable accommodation agencies will be full :/!

hi as 3collinso said above.. you might be abit late on the accomoation thing... i also applied for pavilions as my first choice and i am also starting architecture year 1 this year... you can send in your form for application as soon as possible.. or you can send an email to this lady regarding accomodation. her email is lcartwright@lincoln.ac.uk she is the head of accomodations and she replies pretty quick.. good luck and see you on year 1 architecture. :P yeah we would all be first years housed together so should not be much of a problem.. good luck

I'd send your form off ASAP and chances are the university will sort you into a house with the other first years who didn't get into halls. If they can't allocate you a place then they will tell you that you need to sort it out yourself and will give you a list of companies to get in touch with.

i also left accommodation late in the first year but managed to get a place in danesgate instantly, i would get in contact with someone appropriate pretty soon so at least you have somewhere sorted and don't have to worry about it.

If you can't get into any of the student accommodations and I can't say for staying with just first years But worst comes to the worst you can join the Lincoln Uni Freshers 2011 group page. There's loads of of people advertising rooms that they need filled on there. Even a few of my course mates are advertising rooms.

dont think there's any danesgate left. I applied directly to them and im pretty sure I got one of the last rooms. Woman on the phone said the Uni had bought most the remaining rooms which I pressume they will be putting freshers in who applied through the uni accomodation.
