Re: ***Official Summer 2012 & Off Cycle Internship Applications***I can't remember exactly, as it was my friend who stayed there, but they were some short stay apartments near Tower Bridge.(Original post by Aims95)
Details please? -
Re: ***Official Summer 2012 & Off Cycle Internship Applications***Most likely it will be the apartments near Tower bridge operated by Think Accommodation. That's where they put up the SW people anyway.(Original post by Aims95)

Re: ***Official Summer 2012 & Off Cycle Internship Applications***
I aim to do some cold calling/emailing for work experience in trading over the summer period and am in need of some assistance. Can anybody offer me advice on how I should execute this and any firms which are receptive to such an approach. I have compiled a list of commodity/trading houses and some investment managers with a trading arm but I really need help on the approach I should take.
Can anybody help/advice me please, I would be extremely grateful..
Thank you in advance. -
Re: ***Official Summer 2012 & Off Cycle Internship Applications***Try and email people who go to your Uni/old School, as oppose to HR.(Original post by isolba)

In case it means something to someone:
DB IBD Summer Interns 2012
4 - Oxford
3 - Cambridge, Bocconi, LSE, Harvard
2 - Warwick, HEC, SSE
1 - Durham, Imperial
The other 11 interns are from random foreign unis, and no more than 1 from each.Last edited by Zweihander; 02-06-2012 at 03:19. -
Re: ***Official Summer 2012 & Off Cycle Internship Applications***Lol, some people just get another internship and go for another job role in a different bank etc...(Original post by Pretence)
what do most people who fail to convert internships/get kicked out after graduate program do for backup careers..?
There would be so many different options tbh, very diverse.
I guess there will be some who are successful and don't take the offer of further work, so its not so clear cut. -
Re: ***Official Summer 2012 & Off Cycle Internship Applications***Many of my friends in the year above who completed internships are now working for different firms. Reasons vary as to why they didn't get a full time offer; sometimes simply that there was no head count.(Original post by Pretence)

I guess the experience you get from that bank is a great asset on your CV and will work in your favour, 99% of the time, when applying to other institutions. -
