Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For LifeBad gym is usual going to be better than a 50kg weight set, lol. If your brother is off to boarding school I'm going to assume you don't come from a particularly poor family but won't argue the point(Original post by Aemiliana)
Don't think it does actually. Not a decent gym, anyway. And I can't afford a gym!
-
Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For LifeI've checked and they don't have an actual gym - just a sports hall, so he'll take them. And my family is poor - extended family are paying for it. Plus, after accommodation, my loan barely leaves me enough to eat, so no, I can't afford to join a gym. Hell, I can't even afford course books!(Original post by paddy__power)

Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For LifeNot really. There are night jobs and crap jobs nobody wants to do.(Original post by Aemiliana)
Easier said than done. Spent loads on CVs and got nadda.
Oh well, not being able to afford food will help me lose weight
It will I suppose, lol. -
Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For LifeI even applied to be a public toilet cleaner(Original post by paddy__power)

Depends on the city I guess.

Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For LifeIf you keep applying you will find something. Night time jobs or those with awkward hours are usually quite easy to pick up.(Original post by Aemiliana)

Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For LifeI wish I could see who negged me! But yes, most likely..(Original post by xoxAngel_Kxox)
Incase anyone's interested, I was negged by Ineluctable earlier. Don't know if he's been negging you, too, but I figured it might be the same person seeing as he's never even posted in this thread. Leaving him a message on his wall now.. I'm in such a bad mood so probably shouldn't but never mind.
...
On a brighter note.. Lost another lb today and going to try doing Zumba on the Wii with some weights included! Also did W1D2 of C25K today

. I bought it, and then went on it once and have never been on it since ha ha it's sitting with all my other fitness DVDs (Davina =
) that are depressed 'cause they've never been used
.
PS Couldn't rep you, must have done fairly recently, but have just gone up the thread having a little pos-fest.

Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For Life
Hey guys

I'm back from York, having been thoroughly spoilt by my lovely mum. I now own my first EVER bikini
along with some nice new underwear that actually fits.
I was more indulgent food wise that I had planned to be, but I don't *think* I went too over the top, plus we walked loads, probably about 4-5 hours per day. So hopefully it'll all balance out
Hope everyone's ok

Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For Life
Had some food when I wasn't really hungry but considering what I ate and the exercise I did, I probably would have been in a few hours so it's not too bad. Should still be within my calorie limit too

ETA: yep, am now within the recommended range for pretty much everything today

Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For LifeThis might happen to one of my friend's brother AS results pending. Probably not boarding though. Oh the fun.(Original post by Aemiliana)
He's being packed away to boarding school after dropping out of sixth form. It's a whole thing in my family causing massive tension. It's fun.

Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For LifeFat doesn't turn into muscle. Your idea is so retarded it barely warrants a response.(Original post by Silver Aurora)
Do you reckon it's possible for an underweight like myself to eat just McDonalds for a month or so and then do lots of workouts straight after or during. Turn that fat into muscle? -
Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For LifeGlad you had a lovely time and I'm sure all that walking balanced it out. It seems everyone on here are getting bikini's at the moment(Original post by Flo[ProActiv])

... shame about the rain today though
Edit: Just did a 20 minute zumba workout and now I'm feeling a lot more motivated for my meeting with a lead clinician and psychologist at a neuro-rehabilitation unit to discuss my possible workexperience there. It's just after lunch so I'm going to walk down early and find somewhere to eat my pre-prepared lunch so that I can't eat lots of food out of nervousness!Last edited by ChelseyElla; 04-08-2011 at 09:47. -
Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For LifeI'm hoping to blame muscle for the fact I haven't lost any weight at all this week. I have certainly been trying damn hard, and been exercising a lot more, so it's very unlikely that I've simply just reached a plateau. I guess only time will tell though!(Original post by CoffeAddict)
I weighed myself today. And although I should have negative balance on calories, I gained weight again.
But this is a good sign, I did quite a bit of sports latley, so this means my muscles are building up!!

Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For Life
I'm buying myself a new set of scales today
I just don't trust these mechanical ones! Also its too small and I look at it and it seems you can only make out every half a stone
I need something a bit clearer
Only managed 450 cals in the gym yesterday but did do some weights
Hoping to go a bit later and steam myself in the steam room after
. I bought it, and then went on it once and have never been on it since ha ha it's sitting with all my other fitness DVDs (Davina =
