Re: The Commons Bar Mk VHow are you paying for the VAT abolition? Have the EU signed off on it? How will you replace the funding the EU gets from VAT?(Original post by Thunder and Jazz)
As TSR's Chancellor I declare that there is now no longer VAT on anything.
Just burned £1200 on my car but, having forgotten about VAT, had been expecting less.
Hence why I said why are they asking Rupert(Original post by Aj12)
Well his son is head of the British operation

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VSuddenly Labour's VAT cut to 15% looks helpful eh. The Tories always put VAT up.(Original post by Thunder and Jazz)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VIt's more entertaining as he can't answer questions properly. Some of the things on twitter about him are just lulz http://twitpic.com/5si4e6(Original post by Teaddict)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk V
This committee is a farce, why should R. Murdoch be told anything if it can be solved within NI or News Corp Europe and Asia? clearly it is James Murdoch that is at fault here or at the very least Brooks as someone has been lying to someone and Brooks is the most likely.
I really feel for Rupert, he shouldn't be there as none of this has anything to do with News Corp as a whole but NI and News Corp Europe and Asia of which he does not run day to day. -

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VAnd the potential that NI paid part of Coulson's salary whilst at number 10. Not a flat denial of that either...(Original post by SciFiBoy)
hello children, now we have some big droppings, News International paid the legal fees of convicted Clive Goodman, James Murdoch will regret letting that out -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk Vyep, this is good stuff, heck Brooks will have some awkward questions because of this also...(Original post by Adorno)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VYeah, I hope this isn't true, could cause Cameron problems. Employing him is one thing, having him blatantly acting as an NI puppet is something else.(Original post by Adorno)

Cameron is gonna be mauled in tomorrow's PMQs I think, he really does need to apologize. I am very disappointed by his poor leadership over this; thus far he has behaved well as PM, something I expected to continue. -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VWhen is Brooks being questioned? They have been at those two for almost an hour and a half(Original post by SciFiBoy)
yep, this is good stuff, heck Brooks will have some awkward questions because of this also... -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VWell, I'll ask you this question: would it surprise you for it to be true?(Original post by AlexInWonderland)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VI believe she is the next witness to be called before the comitee, so as soon as the Murdochs are finished.(Original post by Aj12)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VWhich could be all night at this rate lol People are saying they are too soft on Murdoch. Any harder and Snr would have a heart attack and jnr's head would explode trying to decide how best to slip round the question(Original post by SciFiBoy)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VHmm, difficult one.(Original post by Adorno)
Well, I'll ask you this question: would it surprise you for it to be true?
So far I don't think Cameron has done anything corrupt/wrong, and if it turns out this possibility is true, I would find that wrong. Yes, employing Coulson was a mistake, but nothing more.
It would have surprised me if you had suggested this a few weeks ago, I believe Cameron to be a decent man of conviction.
That said, in the context of this situation, very little would surprise me now =/ -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk Vthey should be asking about alleged payments to the Met, but it seems they either cant for legal reasons or wont.(Original post by Aj12)
