Re: The Commons Bar Mk VYou have to be under 20 to say that with a straight face.(Original post by AlexInWonderland)
Hmm, difficult one.
So far I don't think Cameron has done anything corrupt/wrong, and if it turns out this possibility is true, I would find that wrong. Yes, employing Coulson was a mistake, but nothing more.
It would have surprised me if you had suggested this a few weeks ago, I believe Cameron to be a decent man of conviction.
That said, in the context of this situation, very little would surprise me now =/ -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VHow so?(Original post by Adorno)
You have to be under 20 to say that with a straight face. -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VI was just thinking the same thing. He seems to have woken up now though.(Original post by Aj12)
Is murdoch asleep or as he died? -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VWell the notion that any modern politician, particularly one whose background lies in privileged wealth and public relations is a "man of deep conviction" (or whatever the phrase) is laughably naive.(Original post by AlexInWonderland)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VHave you ever been in a meeting or talked to someone? Hand gestures are a major part, when I am in a meeting I hit the table like(Original post by SciFiBoy)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VHitting the table is deliberately aggressive though. There are better ways of engaging.(Original post by tehFrance)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VIndeed. In saying that, I don't think the proposed NI rise from Labour's end instead is a particularly good idea either.(Original post by Adorno)
Suddenly Labour's VAT cut to 15% looks helpful eh. The Tories always put VAT up.
I really would love to see tax made much more transparent. Labelling should be done as 'Cost of TV: £400' 'Government charge to buy TV: £80'. Likewise, I'd like to see all of people's wages deposited into their account with a tax bill to pay. It would make people realise that we really do pay extortionate amounts in tax. Mutiny! -

Whilst people are fixated on Murdoch: http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2...urteen-billion
This is getting to be ridiculous. -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk V****ing hell, thats just stupid, £14bn is obscene.(Original post by Adorno)

Re: The Commons Bar Mk VYeah but NI only hits you if you have a job. VAT hurts everyone from pensioners on fixed incomes to people who are unemployed. It's massively less fair than "the tax on jahbs".(Original post by jesusandtequila)
Indeed. In saying that, I don't think the proposed NI rise from Labour's end instead is a particularly good idea either. -
Re: The Commons Bar Mk VWhat's wrong with this exactly? If they can offer a better service then fine. It's not like you will suddenly have to start paying for healthcare. Did't Labour start doing this with the NHS as well?(Original post by Adorno)
