"Police examine bag found in bin near Rebekah Brooks's home"

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/jul/18/mystery-bag-bin-rebekah-brooks

"Detectives are examining a computer, paperwork and a phone found in a bin near the riverside London home of Rebekah Brooks, the former chief executive of News International."

"It is understood the bag was handed into security at around 3pm and that shortly afterwards, Brooks's husband, Charlie, arrived and tried to reclaim it. He was unable to prove the bag was his and the security guard refused to release it.

Instead, it is understood that the security guard called the police. In less than half an hour, two marked police cars and an unmarked forensics car are said to have arrived at the scene."

He's saying it was his, why would you bin a laptop though?

Apparently the theory is that the cleaner mistook it for rubbish and binned it. Note the first word of that sentence... :holmes:

Obviously got something to hide.
This whole thing is a ******* shambles. And the whistleblower has been found dead - I think we all know what happened there. Such a bloody shame, the lengths people will go to to get a story.

Even if it was mistaken for rubbish, why would you put a laptop in a bag with other documents? And the cleaner would surely know it was a laptop simply from the weight and the shape of the bag - if you were a cleaner, would you put something as expensive as a laptop in a bin that's no even outside your house? This whole thing just gets worse and worse as the days go on :/

Just wait for the CCTV to come out...
It's bizarre! You couldn't write this stuff. I bet someone in Hollywood is already putting together the film rights.
