Exactly. This is not politically orientated, mainly cos I really don't know anything about Ireland's politics cept for there is Northern Ireland that is in the UK and there is the Republic of Ireland that is not in the UK.(Original post by Tomásíona - Mháire)
no its a society without any political references Northern Irish or Irish it doesn't matter not here anyway

shame the OP missed this pointWhen I said Irish, I was referring to the country of Ireland, not the regions in it. Like when I say Canada I don't mean English-speaking or French-speaking, I mean the entire country.(Original post by hugatree)
I don't think he did, he's not even Irish so I doubt he's bothered what part of the country the people are from.

Aaarrrgghhh!! Just looked at my CP, and someone neg repped me for saying that Ireland is an amazing country
And to the person who neg repped, yes, I do have knowledge of Ireland's beauty, the musical culture and was raised on stories from my grandparent's on their lives in Ireland, and my Irish heritage. I would visit my great grandfather's grave with his diary of his life in Ireland as a child, and then his later memoirs.
I was also told hundreds of stories by my old catholic priest who was Irish and proud. He loved Ireland, loved pretty much everything about Ireland, and never stopped talking about Ireland, which is where a large amount of my knowledge of Ireland came from. 2 or 3 hours chatting with him after mass every Sunday for 5 years I think gives me a pretty good knowledge of Ireland, albeit not first hand, but would you question the integrity of a priest? I certainly never would, especially not one as devoted to catholocism as him. He was so honest that when I was ill in hospital and he saw me, he said that it looked like a cement truck had hit me, then backed up over me again, and he was serious!!
I started this society partially with inspiration from him as he always believed that there should be more groups of people from around the world who thought Ireland was as amazing and wonderful as he did, and I am one of those people.
I would appreciate it if next time you question my knowledge, just to post a query in the forum, and get your facts straight before jumping to conclusions. If I said something like "America is a terrible country" just because of Canadian patriotism, then yes, neg rep is totally deserved, but in my opinion, not for saying that Ireland is an amazing country which was indeed based on knowledge.
Thank you. -
Hmm, just randomly spoke to some Irish guy on the phone!
Had 3 missed calls from a random number, so rang it like 3 times until they answered thinking it was someone I knew who'd changed their number or something. This guy was convinced I'd rang him 3 times "No mate, Ive been at work so it wasn't me!" Sexy accent though.. -
haha crazy - I always get english guys ringing me when I'm at school......quite funny we just take the piss and be right hornballs down the phone, so they don't ring back haha! xoxo(Original post by Kittennffc)
