Re: House?
Did any of you watch the last ep?
"If you can't deal with your feelings for me - positive or negative, then how are we gonna work together??"
"It's not all negative, you know?"
Awwwww please get together! Then I will see again that part of House that I love - the sensitive guy behind all the sarcasm...
EDIT: by the way, I kind of got over the new music theme. This new one is nice too, because it signifies the beginning of HOUSE!!!

Re: House?
I've just caught the last couple of episodes this, and have to say it's drawn me in. My mum's watched it since it started, and I'd planned to but never really got round to it. I've always loved Hugh Laurie, but thats been in stuff like Blackadder and A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and he's pretty much as different from that as you can get in House, lol. What was the old theme tune like?

Re: House?
Brilliant programme
I love it! It's so good, that it now has two threads, thanks to my being a bit of an idiot
.
Seriously, though, Laurie's performance in it makes it something truly special, and his american accent is also a work of art haha. Love the one-liners that occur in the series
. They're releasing a region 2 DVD (at last!) which I plan on being the owner as soon as it is financially viable...

Re: House?
Ah house! I love his one liners and general attitude. I thought I wouldnt be able to take it seriously with Laurie in it as im used to Blackadder and such, but it shows how versatile he is as an actor.
I want the DVD now its finally been released but its a little too pricey for me at the moment

Re: House?
Simple: because he can't
. I think that represents one of the main ironies in the whole series - here's a brilliant doctor who can fix almost anything except himself. Possible Spoiler on what I think explains House's leg...:
Spoiler:Show
It's to do with "muscle death" - where they removed a lot of the dead muscle cells from his leg. Without muscles, you can walk, and because he has so little muscle in his leg left, he can't walk without the cane. That's what I understand anyway.
He explained all that towards the end of season one, in that lecture he did for uni students. It's why he and Stacy got divorced - she made him unconscious, then made the decision for him to remove the affected muscles. House had the correct diagnosis on his leg, and if the doctors had listened to him earlier, he might've saved his leg. So, in answer to your comment... I guess you can say it was sheer bad luck that got him where he is today.

Re: House?
It's not a really spoiler! Not if you've seen series one!
On the off chance people haven't...
Spoiler:ShowHe had an anuerism and blood clot in his leg. They wanted to amuptate, he wouldn't give consent. the aneurism lead to ischaemia (lack of oxygen) in his leg, which caused necrosis (tissue death). When muscles become necrotic you can end up with something called Rhabdomyelitis, which can cause acute renal failure.
Basically, he got them to do a bypass, which tooks them forever due to the amount of necrosis, which meant he lost even more function and ended up with chronic neupoathic pain.
