Agreed. They can't (or shouldn't) offer more places then they have unless they are willing to take them on should everyone accept and get the grades. SGU aren't willing to do that.

Oh well, see where we are on the list soon I guess - then it's just another waiting game!

Oxford said they did but then thats what got them into trouble last year.

Fed up of the waiting game, especially as this one could keep going until October.

I have a question that is slightly off course of this thread but still relevant. It's about employment upon graduation. With a large amount of students becoming freshly qualified paramedics each year, is there going to come a time where people cannot find jobs? I know everyone has different plans but surely there will be a time that this problem comes. I also respect that no one is ever garuanteed a job from any university course, but am curious to hear others opinions...

You're right, it's starting to happen now in certain areas, well it is in my area. There are too many newly qualified paramedics and just not enough job openings :/

There will always be jobs. It just depends whether you're willing to move and whether you're happy to wait a few months if needs be. If you're stuck in one area it will obviously be more difficult.

They are only doing a September start now (doesn't mean less places though, just a bigger September intake), or this is what they said during my interview day at the beginning of March at least! I got a unconditional offer from them about a week later but I know a lot of people are still waiting to hear from them... good luck xx

Aww sorry to hear that. But yep head up and looking towards next year. I'm quite fortunate as Ive got an offer from portsmouth and on the reserve at Northampton but LJM was my first choice so would love an offer from there.

Hey everyone!

I have applied for 5 Universities, got 3 interview at Staffs, Uclan, and LJMU. i had my interview in jan for LJMU and received confirmation of unsuccessful yesterday gutted!!

is anyone else waiting to hear back from Uclan?
