to all the other new people as well, come hang out with us on the chat thread. We are a great, welcoming bunch. You'll love us to bits

Now I'm all tempted to redo my own answers; it's been nearly a year. Hmm... -
Re: LGBT Members' Questionnaire Mk. IIThis is pretty much just a thread for answering the questionnaire; seach for 'LGBT Chat X' to find the chat thread.(Original post by ilovetosleep)
oops, have i been posting on a really old thread? xD sorry! where's the chat thread? i'm sure i'll get the hang of this website soon... :| -
Re: LGBT Members' Questionnaire Mk. II1. What's your name?(Original post by dbmag9)
I got bored and wanted to redo the questionnaire, so it's now slightly less intrusive and doesn't assume a gender binary, among other things. Copy it into a post and answer as much or as little as you want.
Caroline
2. Is there anything in particular you've come to the TSRLGBTS for?
Procrastination of course!
3. How old are you?
17
4. What's your gender?
Female
5. What's your sexual orientation?
Lesbian, but I would bear Benedict Cumberbatch as many children as his greasy little heart desires.
6. How long have you known your orientation?
Since year 7ish?
7. Do you feel like you fit any orientation-related stereotypes?
Not particularly. Used to have short hair but it grew out. Meh.
8. Have you experienced any homo- or transphobia?
Haha yeaah, though oddly enough, more when I wasn't fully out than ever now.
9. Are you out? For how long, or are you planning to? If you are, how did people react?

Yep.
11. Have you been involved in any LGBT organisations or societies? What did you think of them?
QYN and Trevorspace, not much more.
12. Have you been to any LGBT events? How were they?
Noooo, I've always managed to be on holiday/busy around the time of London Pride.
13. Do LGBT considerations influence you politically?
Somewhat, but I think most of the major political parties aren't blatantly homophobic anyway.
14. Are you in a relationship? If so, for how long?
Nope
15. What do you look for in a partner?
Lovely hands. Tattoos make me swoon.
16. Have you had any sexual experiences with the same gender? Good or bad?
Some, varying degrees of good.
17. Have you had any sexual experiences with another gender? Good or bad?
One, bad. Veryvery bad.
18. Do you go out on the 'scene' (LGB clubs and bars) much? Can you recommend anywhere?
Hahahaa... no.

Re: LGBT Members' Questionnaire Mk. II
Why not, I guess its my turn.
1. What's your name? Billy.
2. Is there anything in particular you've come to the TSRLGBTS for? Not really.
3. How old are you? Recently turned 17.
4. What's your gender? Male.
5. What's your sexual orientation? Gay.
6. How long have you known your orientation? Uhm probably since about 13/14.
7. Do you feel like you fit any orientation-related stereotypes? Well people don't know I am unless I tell them, I hate musicals and glee and taking photos of myself. I do like Gaga though, but idk really if I do or not.
8. Have you experienced any homo- or transphobia? No, not really.
9. Are you out? For how long, or are you planning to? If you are, how did people react? Told my mum last July, she seemed to pass the message on to the rest of my family and thats pretty much the last I heard of it, it hasn't been mentioned since then. I think they're okay with it, one of my grandparents thinks it's simply a phase. I know my parents are disappointed but they won't tell me that, I know that they wanted me to be the trend setter; being the eldest of 4 they would have expected me to bring the first grandchildren and be married first and such; sorta ****ed that up for them now. But whatever I don't care. So yeah I told my first friend like a month after that, she told her friends and it spread a little from there. I put it on facebook in the August, some people noticed and some didn't. Now I have got to the point where I do not know who knows about me and who doesn't, I presume most people know now. People at the McDonalds where I work are just beginning to find out now, they all seem really shocked. That's pretty much what everyone's reactions have been. I came out because I wanted to tell people before I was asked because I presumed everyone was already guessing (the fact that i'd been through high school with no girlfriends and seemingly no interest in them whatsoever would surely give off that impression) but apparently nobody had a clue and people didn't believe me at first. Then the rumour went round that I was huge slag and i'd been doing things with guys for ages in secret, which completely isn't true as I mean come on no one's even kissed me before - how pathetic is that. But yeah on the whole, everyone's reactions were generally accepting, they sort of acknowledged it and were like ohh right and then that was it really.
10. Do you know many LGBT people? I know of them, I mean one of the manager's at work is and a couple of other guys that work there. A couple of people from school but no one that I would say im particularly good friends with.
11. Have you been involved in any LGBT organisations or societies? What did you think of them? No I haven't and I don't really have an opinion of them.
12. Have you been to any LGBT events? How were they? No I haven't.
13. Do LGBT considerations influence you politically? No not really.
14. Are you in a relationship? If so, for how long? Sadly not.
15. What do you look for in a partner? Someone who just likes me for who I am. Someone that I will enjoy spending time with. Someone who is ambitious and fun. Someone who isn't perfect but is just perfect for me.
16. Have you had any sexual experiences with the same gender? Good or bad? No unfortunately.
17. Have you had any sexual experiences with another gender? Good or bad? No girls absolutely repulse me in physical appearance, I could never do anything with them apart from hug aha.
18. Do you go out on the 'scene' (LGB clubs and bars) much? Can you recommend anywhere? Haha no, I'm only 17.
19. Name some fit famous people. Matthew Mitcham & Tom Daley < Cutest guys ever.

Some of my friends knew, other's didn't but haven't received any negativity about it ever so that's good!
10. Do you know many LGBT people? Only a couple, not many.

Re: LGBT Members' Questionnaire Mk. IIYeah I sort of have a similar story...... some of my friends still to some extent think I'm a man-whore. Sad times. There was a rumour when I was in high school that I really liked this girl, so most people's first reaction was: "Didn't you like that girl?", to which my first response was: "I tried to tell all of you guys that I didn't, but you none of you believed me". Re: LGBT Members' Questionnaire Mk. II
1. What's your name?
Leanne / Lea
2. Is there anything in particular you've come to the TSRLGBTS for?
Not really, just chatting to fellow lgbt's!
3. How old are you?
21
4. What's your gender?
Female
5. What's your sexual orientation?
Gay/Lesbian (usually prefer to say gay, people seem to react a little more to the word 'lesbian', even I do!
6. How long have you known your orientation? Since I was about 13 I think? Can't remember the actual moment/period that I realised though.
7. Do you feel like you fit any orientation-related stereotypes? Not really. I'm not butch, not femme, just average girl.. used to be 'alternative'-ish but now I'm just a mix between everything.
8. Have you experienced any homo- or transphobia?
A little in school, I got pushed around and verbally abused by those in my year/younger than me etc.
9. Are you out? For how long, or are you planning to? If you are, how did people react?
Since I was 14, my mum at first wasn't the best about it but soon stood up for me, I was in high school so people were quite abusive at times, but generally I found a lot of support. There was one girl who was friends with everyone- the popular, the geeks, the in betweens, so if anyone had anything to say they'd respect her and take step back and actually think about it instead of following others.
10. Do you know many LGBT people?
A few! I don't frequent the gay bars often, though I've just moved back in with my mum and there aren't really any here. Used to live in Leicester and know a lot of people there& that work at the gay venues.
11. Have you been involved in any LGBT organisations or societies? What did you think of them?
Not really. Mainly because I'm a shy person, I'm not good with people/conversations etc.
12. Have you been to any LGBT events? How were they?
Only gay pride, about 3 times in my home city but missed it for the last 2-3 years. Can't wait to be back there this year!
13. Do LGBT considerations influence you politically?
14. Are you in a relationship? If so, for how long?
No I'm not- last relationship was for 13 months, devastated when she broke up with me but it's been about 18 months now and hey I'm ready for someone else. Just need to find that someone...
15. What do you look for in a partner?
Never good at these questions.. someone who can be patient with me, who doesn't mind me being quiet at first, and then can't shut me up when we're close. Someone who isn't too wild and clubbing every other night (though open to be influenced), a bit geeky, and generally polite, sweet. I love lisps!
16. Have you had any sexual experiences with the same gender? Good or bad?
Yes, with two girlfriends, the first I though I didn't like sex at all but the second I was blown away haha. There's someone I was interested since I was about 14 and we had some 'fun' but it was a drunken event that's a little blurry..
17. Have you had any sexual experiences with another gender? Good or bad?
Not fully. I've kissed guys, but not been attracted to them- someone tried to sleep with me but I said no, he was creepy and said he was practically a lesbian because of this, and that, but he just wanted to say he'd got with a lesbian that is all.
18. Do you go out on the 'scene' (LGB clubs and bars) much? Can you recommend anywhere?
Not really, used to go to the gay places in Leicester but that's about it. I need to try out Leeds, but I'm not a clubbing girl..
19. Name some fit famous people.
Eva Green, Ellen Page, Anna Skellern, Tegan Quin
20. Show us your picture?
Maybe when I find a good one! :P -

Re: LGBT Members' Questionnaire Mk. II
1. What's your name? Who's asking?
2. Is there anything in particular you've come to the TSRLGBTS for? No. I was curious, thought might as well...
3. How old are you? 20
4. What's your gender? Female
5. What's your sexual orientation? Gay/lesbian. Prefer woman who likes women though.
6. How long have you known your orientation? Since I was about 5. Then I had years of hoping I was Bi and then I finally accepted it.
7. Do you feel like you fit any orientation-related stereotypes? Not at all. I'm very feminine.
8. Have you experienced any homo- or transphobia? Not really. I was bullied at school and they used to call me lez or whatever but they didn't actually know. Merely a generic slur.
9. Are you out? For how long, or are you planning to? If you are, how did people react? Kinda. Since Pride last year. People didn't seem to care but most were shocked because I pass very well. As a result I am pretty sure most people don't know yet. I didn't make an announcement. Just dropped it casually into conversation. Yes, 19 is late to come out, I was one of those ‘closeted types’ :P
10. Do you know many LGBT people? Not very many. But One of my best friends is a gay man. Then I have one queer friend I do not see often and then a handful of people I know of. Max 10 ever.
11. Have you been involved in any LGBT organisations or societies? What did you think of them? No. I would want to...but I am too shy and also not out at home. *sigh*
12. Have you been to any LGBT events? How were they? I went to Pride last year. And tbh I wasn't too impressed. I mean, parts of it were okay but I'm not really into that culture. It may have been because I was super embarrassed though. Every time I saw a camera I ducked.
13. Do LGBT considerations influence you politically? Yup.
14. Are you in a relationship? If so, for how long? Never.
15. What do you look for in a partner? They would have to be kind and nerdy and like books. Sharing my sense of humour is a plus. As well as sharing my strange mix of optimism and cynicism about life and people.
16. Have you had any sexual experiences with the same gender? Good or bad? No.
17. Have you had any sexual experiences with another gender? Good or bad? No.
18. Do you go out on the 'scene' (LGB clubs and bars) much? Can you recommend anywhere? No.
19. Name some fit famous people. Olivia Wilde, Amanda Palmer, Helena Bonham Carter, Rachel Maddow (I know), Lady Gaga (I know I know), Marlene Dietrich etc.
20. Show us your picture? Nope.

8. Have you experienced any homo- or transphobia? A few comments made by some annoying people, but nothing major
