Oh yeah, I forgot that he had to work his leave, so yeah, he probably won't leave it the end!

Possibly thinking the photo of that child was like her sister or even daughter? Would be great to get a proper gritty Frieda story, because let's face it, she is awesome

He's like a background character now :'( I want Elliot back!
I wouuldn't might but he took losing his job a bit too relaxed. I miss his scenes with connie, he was the only one who really had any effect on her. I think they should bring back his heart surgeon friend; other than his conversations with Jac he is only talking to dull characters!

I still miss Connie. I can't get over it. I am warming to Hanssen though. My favourite character is Jac, I love here ruthlessness and wit but sometimes I hope she'll do something nice to prove people wrong but I guess if she did she wouldn't be Jac.

Does anyone know why Hanssen is holding that bird hostage? I want it to break free!

He's nursing it back to health, of course
The other week he drip fed it and cut up bread chunks for it, after it flew into his window.
Basically I think it's a metaphow for how he is 'nursing' the hospital back to health, I think we were supposed to assume the bird was dead once it flew into his window during the episode where Sir Fraser got all angry with Hanssen, and then the bird came back to life when he saved the hospital and I think it was supposed to show that the hospital was kind of on it's last legs. Now the little bird is getting better and the hospital is slowly getting better too I think.
It's all a little bit too cheesy for my liking, but it is quite funny.
Love how the bird is now practically a character of it's own, Hanssen's version of Elliot's Samson the dog!

I kinda got how it was the hospital but healing a bird and fixing a hospital after a major scandal are slightly different. I also think he can't save it by himself (the hospital, not the bird) and how he is keeping it caged is refering to his grip on Holby. I have a feeling the bird might die or break free at the end of a dramatic episode; it will play a role!

I also think Hanssen needs a office mate or co-head of surgery, he never gets to socialise!

He definitely should get a friend! But I don't think anyone really likes him, apart from Sahira...
That said, I'd definitely be up for Frieda co-sharing the role, they would be hilarious together :giggle:

She would keep insulting him but at the end of each episode they could go clubbing together. You cannot blame people for not liking him though; he nearly got rid of darwin, stole the job connie spent years working for and has stolen all the power of the department heads.

I don't, but I can see why you would! He definitely looks better without the glasses though :^_^:

On another note, how completely adorable was that episode? That baby and Jac  see see see all you Jac-haters, she has a heart and at the end of the day she did right by the baby and she proved everyone else wrong, yet humbly denied it and brushed the compliment aside.

Also, love how angry she got at the Paeds guy when he insulted Sahira - "Insult my registrar and you will burrrnnn" :mwuaha: Or words to that effect!

Dan blatently fancies Ollie though, s'all going to end in tears though.

The new AAU registrar seems interesting, bless Sacha though, how is he always so sweet?

    Jac on top form tonight.

Also thinking Hanssen is the Vader with Ric as Kenobi from A New Hope. 'If you strike me down, I'll become more powerful than you could ever imagine.'

Well I have many favourite characters; Ollie, Michael, Frieda, Jac... - CAN'T CHOOSE!!
Oh and did anyone not notice the sexual tension in todays episode between Eddi and the new registrar?

No way I didn't notice that Dan might fancy Ollie?! But I don't think it will happen, too far fetched lol!

I know I loved Jac in this episode! and I am convinced that there is noone in the real world as nice as Sacha...

Yeah, but the new guy is just too good. Like Ric, he does his job because not for the praise like eddi does but because he cares. He's also pretty witty at times in my opinion.

He's pretty hard to understand, it will take a few more episodes to "get to know him" so to speak but I think I like him! I agree, he's a bit like Jac Naylor, really dry and ruthless

I love Greg, he should be in it more! And what happened to him and Sahira? It was gonna be really awkward after he kissed her but it didn't really come up in any other episodes...
I also really liked Jac this week! Well, after she fixed the baby, cos she was being annoying before trying to get the glory again. But I like how she warmed to the baby as it shows she has a heart! At the end with the cuddly toy was so cute! I think Jac will want to adopt her or something!

Definitely won't happen, not if Chantelle has anything to do with it!
And I meant Ollie being an F2 on ortho is all going to end in tears, he'll miss Jac's sarcasm waaaay too much, and he'll miss her 'yay, I'm just going to strip in front of you in the changing room' moments.

If only there were people like Sacha... :sigh:
