    One Piece thread
Have not seen a thread for this particular Japanese series yet so thought I would start one just for the fans.

    Yeah One Piece is AWESOME!

I'll bite, but spoiler me no spoilers! I'm just creeping up to episode fifty or so, myself. Somewhat slowed by having to write my dissertation...

Easily my favourite weekly shounen jump manga series. I still remember reading the first chapter back in 97. Similarly, I've been following the anime adaptation since it started airing.

For those interested, I've written a review:

Interesting review. The manga has gotten better every chapter, this weeks chapter was very interesting with the crews abilities

This isn't overly important, but I'm just wondering (kind of a spoiler if you haven't seen episode 340ish)

    Spoiler:
    Show
In Enies Lobby one of Zoro's swords gets rusted/destroyed by a marine, and when he goes back to Water 7 he doesn't have the money to get it fixed, but they're now on the ghost island place and he has three swords...? Is it something that's explained in the manga but not the anime? Did he get it fixed and I just completely missed it?

I wanted to Google it but I didn't want to accidentally come across any spoilers

I was pretty sure he was only using two swords for the Ghost Island?
He kept the sheathe and hilt of the third with him; but doesn't actually draw it.. admittedly it's been a fair while since I watched said arc; so I may have that all completely cock-eyed.

Even though it really was not explained I assumed Zoro still kept the sword even though it was all rusted up. He only used two swords with his fight on Thriller bark though, just kept the third rusted sword carrying it around I guess.

I know this thread's pretty dead, but I know no one who watches One Piece so: (spoiler for episode 482)

    Spoiler:
    Show
Someone better ****ing destroy Akainu. Goddamnit. I seriously can't stop crying this is ridiculous. At the beginning of this whole Marineford arc I'd pretty much resigned myself to Ace dying, I didn't see how they could save him, and now I just feel completely crushed. Ugh.

I guess so, maybe its just that I watched it after I had read the first couple hundred chapters, but it didn't really seem to "fit" the manga in the way I had imagined, especially with some of the character voices
