Leodis vs. James Baille Park
Ive narrowed down my choice for halls between Leodis and James Baille Park.
Out of the following features, which halls of residence do you think scores higher...
-proximity to university, places to socialise and go out having fun
-security
-common room
What do you guys think?
Any advice? -
i'm staying in JBP and really like it but probably your best bet is leodis just for the value. JBP is *lovely* but leodis seems swnaky wnough without the extra private comodation additions. all in all we're stripped for every penny where as L is pretty reasonable by the sounds of it.
not sure about security in comparison as JBP has its own flats and own rooms which are lockable (i presume its largley the same everywhere), but the common room is pretty nice with sky tv and vending machines and a launders. the only problem ive found with this is that i, and i think most people, never really go there because we have our wee living rooms WHICH ARE THE BEST THING ABOUT THE ACCOMODATION.
honestly, never underestimate the living room, its a great greatplace to slob around with your flat mates in. i dont know if leodis has this but if your considering JBP take this bit into consideration big time and dont underestimate its values. -
the bit next to the kitchen? Yeh we have one, and it's a bit bigger but doesn't have sofas.honestly, never underestimate the living room, its a great greatplace to slob around with your flat mates in. i dont know if leodis has this but if your considering JBP take this bit into consideration big time and dont underestimate its values.

JBP is much safer than Leodis. North Hill Road isn't dark and scary - I went for a jog today at 6am and I thought it was perfectly well lit.(Original post by Soapysudds1)
leodis has the scary hill and stairs to try and survive, where as jbp has the dark scary road to walk down.
JBP is really really nice - but its expensive too and its a 15 min walk to uni (though I don't think a bit of walking will do any harm!) -

im deciding between these two as well. at JBP you have to pay an extra couple hundred for internet access which is a bit crap
Yeah, That's whats dragging it down for me. And I heard that the internet connection is crap anyway! Heard Leodis' is good though
