Re: Ramadan Mubarak' ... Hows everyone finding fasting this year...?same started yeday.. Wow mashallah your so lucky to go saudi in ramadan.. its going to be packed but imagine the rewards(Original post by supercalafraja)
When did everyone start fasting? My first one was yesterday. Today i'm feeling really hungry and thirsty- just counting down the hours until iftaar. I'm going to saudi tomorrow for umrah. Fasting is going to be sooooo hard there! I don't feel like fasting on the journey, i know you don't have to. But i probably will cos i'd feel bad afterwards.
.. please keep the Ummah in your duas... and feel blessed that you are ..

Re: Ramadan Mubarak' ... Hows everyone finding fasting this year...?
Ramadan Mubarak to everyone!
Honestly, I haven't been really hungry and that was also the case yesterday. A little tired since I work from 8AM to 4PM every day
It's so hot here, and I was stuck in traffic for about an hour and my car was HOT!
I'm not into eating a lot and cannot understand how people can gain weight during the month of Ramadan. I eat two samosas, and that's enough, but sometimes my mum forces me to eat a little bit more
Many of my friends and their families eat as if there is no tomorrow. Come on. The reason we're fasting is to feel the hunger on our own body and think about the poor ones. What's good if you eat for 3 persons?Last edited by RunForrestRun; 02-08-2011 at 17:46. -
Re: Ramadan Mubarak' ... Hows everyone finding fasting this year...?exactly... love how you put that! .. we should try and realise this month as a gift rather than strain .. and not complain!(Original post by RunForrestRun)

Re: Ramadan Mubarak' ... Hows everyone finding fasting this year...?
It's been OK so far, I got very hungry in the last half-hour to Iftar, seeing all the food being prepared! Of course the heat does not help, it feels really humid and stuffy - still, spare a thought for our brothers and sisters in Iraq, with 51C heat and NO Air-Conditioning, fans or electricity!

Re: Ramadan Mubarak' ... Hows everyone finding fasting this year...?Not during the fasts (though obviously you wouldn't think people would have to make do without for a whole month.. so obviously just during the fasts each day). When people break fast at around 9ish in the UK they're free to though(Original post by rhiam)
are you allowed to drink during ramadan? (not alcohol, water and juice and stuff)

I always find these pictures a great inspiration during ramadan, these are from 2009, and really are beautiful:
