Creamfields is a lot of commercial twaddle for fans of generic cheese. I'm not a huge fan of the tuneage at Glade but they definitely keep it real.

Creamfields is also apparently full of meatheads, thieves, and chavs too.

To be honest, there are countless better events (that actually play psychedelic music :P ) in London and the surrounding areas. Would make journeying to Belgium pretty pointless unless you were there for the techno, innit. (Not having a go, like, but this thread is to do with psytrance events and not techno, hehe.)

I forgot to mention that I love techno hardly has any techno there! It's mainly electronic, and they were big on dubstep last year. But I agree that it's probably more worth while and cheaper going to a rave somewhere in England. I only went because I wanted to go since I was 15 lol.

By the way, gypsyclimber, there's a night called Kanyini in Birmingham that have been putting on cosy psytrance nights. All fluffy stuff, though - nothing in the way of dark psy! They look like nice parties, though.

Was thinking of going clubbing in Bristol for my 18th in late August, but am on the brink of changing my mind and going to a psy-trance event instead. As I live somewhere where psy-trance isn't really big (Gloucestershire), could anyone reccommend any psy-trance events or pages with information on in Bristol? Thanks

Weelllll Tribe of Frog are hosting the Psy-trance stage at Waveform festival this year. Promises to be really good! I'm gutted that I can't go - but that's on the 31st til the 2nd of September, so you can have a birthday weekend there? It's not in Bristol admittedly....

Hey, glousck. I'd recommend checking out PsyMusic.co.uk for info - they have pretty much every psytrance party in the UK listed in the Events section of the forum. http://psymusic.co.uk/forum/events/weekly

    Hope you find something.

    No worries. It's awesome, huh?

So much stuff like that was absolutely BLASTING out of the speakers at Freqs of Nature. So many vivid memories, hehe. I'll post some more dark, forest & hi-tech psy in a bit.

Please do. Ergh I need to go to Freqs of Nature now. Too many festivals too little time... Reckon I'm going to go try and go to Alchemy and possible Waveform next year. Thoughts on either of these?

A few more tracks similar to the last one. Kokobloko, Megalopsy & Frantic Noise for the win!!!

I've heard that Alchemy is nice and intimate. Quite a few friends have said it's a really nice festival. I went to Waveform in 2009 and it was pretty decent, albeit very small. I think they might be a bit bigger nowadays. The Tribe of Frog stage is always a nice feast for the eyes and the vibe there is really good.

I'm really tempted by Waveform if I can afford it. Only, like, one psy act I really wanna see (Hypnocoustics), but I've got a lot of friends going there and it'd be really nice to have at least one more 'out in a field getting wasted for three days' experience.

Wow wow wow wow wow WOW. I'm listening to 'Fragile' now and it's absolutely stunning. That bit from 1:29 - 1:43 gave me the goosebumps. Feel so calm listening to it, hehe. Really delicate voice and just the sort of melodies I'm into. I'm gonna be rinsing this, for sure!

I'm really impressed. Listening to the stuff on your YouTube account now. How long have you been making music for? Your voice is soooo soothing.

I could always do some sneaky dark psy sampling at some point. Do you record & produce your own music? Or have access to the vocal tracks on their own?

A couple of years or so now, things have only picked up in the last year when I got into the final ten of The Next Brit Thing and performed at the 02 Arena in London. Thank you very much! I haven't released anything yeeeetttt but hopefully it won't be too far in the future, just writing some more music at the moment. And yes I could have access to just the vocals if you wanted them - I've already had one guy do an interesting remix on one of my songs, so I'm always interested to hear what people do with it!
