Re: Psy-trance Raves...Damn, that is excellent(Original post by Atomik)
Ohhhh my! I think I've just found my new favourite tune to rinse.
Dark as phuq and waaaaaaaaay psychedelic!

(Original post by gypsyclimber)
Please do. Ergh I need to go to Freqs of Nature now. Too many festivals too little time... Reckon I'm going to go try and go to Alchemy and possible Waveform next year. Thoughts on either of these?
Alchemy is a festival i expect to keep going to, so if a few of you guys are too then we should have an Alchemy TSR meet, it will clearly be the most alternative meet TSR has ever had
Wow, i had no idea there were such cool people on TSR, this has blown my mind(Original post by gypsyclimber)
A couple of years or so now, things have only picked up in the last year when I got into the final ten of The Next Brit Thing and performed at the 02 Arena in London. Thank you very much! I haven't released anything yeeeetttt but hopefully it won't be too far in the future, just writing some more music at the moment. And yes I could have access to just the vocals if you wanted them - I've already had one guy do an interesting remix on one of my songs, so I'm always interested to hear what people do with it!
Congratulations on your performances on the next brit thing and at the O2 arena, who knows, we might be seeing gypsyclimber going from warehouse to warehouse in a while.Last edited by paperclip; 02-08-2012 at 15:59. -
Re: Psy-trance Raves...Hahah well if I end up going to Alchemy next year I will absolutely let you know - TSR could not handle it ;D And thanks! If my more religiously traditional folk fans found out about my psytrance obsession... I think they would be quite shocked!(Original post by paperclip)

Re: Psy-trance Raves...Heh, whenever i am around uni people and i start putting on music it is changed quite quickly, although my friends appreciate my music (which is mostly from ektoplazm). But you should never restrict yourself to one genre, variety is the spice of life!(Original post by gypsyclimber)

Re: Psy-trance Raves...Certainly is! Never good to close yourself off to a genre. This isn't anyway psychedellic or trancy - but I can't get enough of this track. My mate put it on during one of his sets recently. So funky. Can not contain my stompin'.(Original post by paperclip)

A couple of mates of mine, Cloud and Owl are big on techno but dont like labelling themselves as they span every genre, very good music, http://www.mixcloud.com/Cloudandgirl/
Listen to a spirit of brotherhood, was recorded at one of my houseparties

Re: Psy-trance Raves...The psytrance scene in Bristol is pretty tops. Tribe of Frog do the biggest psy parties there, and I also know that Psyanide do legal parties as well. I read on PsyMusic.co.uk that another party crew are starting up there & putting on a party soon.(Original post by mariaking)
hey, what's the psy scene like in bristol? anyone from UWE?
There's an underground party scene in Bristol, too. Psy-Resistdance have put on some good parties, according to some friends of mine.
I know of a few psy DJs and producers who live in Bristol as well.
By the way, I see you're from Wales. The Welsh psy lot are awesome. Got some mates from that way who are active in the psy scene.
D'ya know Kris, Morris, Lloyd and co.? They're good mates of mine.

Re: Psy-trance Raves...Like their sound, really varied. Spirit of Brotherhood sounds great! I like the chilledness of some of it alongside the beat. Must have been a good houseparty ;D(Original post by paperclip)

Re: Psy-trance Raves...
ektoplazm.com is my new favourite site... don't know if this has been recommended on this thread before but check it out!

Re: Psy-trance Raves...
Ektoplazm FTW.
The guy is providing such a good service on that 'site...
How was it?(Original post by Toffee_Kid)
Out of curiosity, is anyone visiting Art Of Psy in London tonight?
Anybody off to Psychedelic Properties on Saturday? It's gonna be aaaaawesome-o! -
Re: Psy-trance Raves...Fantastic website! Got a lot of really good stuff there. This remains one of my favourites for both streaming music and for looking at - it's got a few different (and good) channels, and is incredibly aesthetically pleasing if you have simple pleasures such as myself, as I can spin the cube and change the background, colours etc. Procrastination aid. http://psyradio.fm/(Original post by njff15)

I live too far away but it's something I would have like to attend.
Just thought I'd post a PsyTrance track my friends (who don't really get the psytrance scene) are going nuts too... What are your thoughts?

Re: Psy-trance Raves...I went to the Elixir of Life Visionary Art Exhibition. Was actually really, really nice; would love more events like this to happen! Psychedelic Properties the night after was one of the best squat parties I've ever been to, as well. Amazing, amazing party.(Original post by njff15)

As for that tune... no. Hahaha. So cheesy. I can't stand that style. :P
This is more like it:
Massively psychedelic!Last edited by Atomik; 07-11-2012 at 23:40. -
Re: Psy-trance Raves...
Heads up, this is a pretty good website for online psy radio - I listen to the progressive channel a lot when I'm studying (something about trance helps me focus), and it's really nice, not repetitive, good variety of beats.
