Re: Castle
So, is it next week yet?Ð
Spoiler:ShowSo, I've just watched it and it was amazing.
Some great one liners in there. Caskett were great, really loved the blending of the two scenes, with Castle and Martha on one side and Beckett and Dorn on the other.
It's so weird seeing Dorn play this role. It's so geekalicious, but weird. He needs his forehead back, and some weapons. IT'S A GOOD DAY TO DIE!
So glad the kiss wasn't as bad as expected, though it was really cute seeing Beckett so annoyed over it all. You could tell she was really having a hard time keeping control. Kind of annoyed they didn't show us the answer to the question, but understandable really. That'd be telling us too much too soon. Was annoyed Castle didn't tell her the real reason he and the lady didn't go out, but he probably doesn't want to scare Beckett away, but you could see he was happy not having to choose.
I feel so bad for Beckett. If she's not careful, she might lose Castle (Esposito had some choice lines this time as well) all because she's not able to handle her feelings for him. I like that they're showing that.
Martha is now becoming Castle's Dorn (the psychiatrist as we don't have a name for him yet). -
Re: CastleSpoiler:ShowUnless there's some reason you don't want to put yourself out there...*cue Beckett calling*
I love the little touches like that, really clever.
Loved the fierce lady-war between Beckett and Kaye
and Beckett's green eyes with Castle's obvious interest in Kaye. Makes me want to freak out with obviousness.
You're right, she is in danger of losing Castle I can't understand why she doesn't just tell him, denial?
I totally didn't twig that was Worf!!!
Amazing episode -

Amazing episodeSpoiler:ShowI really loved the battle. It seems a fair few fans think they were just going over the same ground with the episode about the Nikki Heat actress. I can see where they're coming from, but it just seems to me like it was designed to show how far Beckett has come since then.
I mean, during the Nikki Heat thing, she was more composed about it, in this week's episode she was all over the place and really losing control. She couldn't keep it together because she was so worried she was going to lose Castle. That for me says a lot and the scene with Worf just confirmed it. Not my favourite of the season, but definitely good and the bits with Worf were well timed and long past due.
Currently rewatching the first season. Oh, the sexual tension even then. So great.
Oh, my gods, have you seen the spoilers for the 7th episode?!
Oh, and Fillion's getting fat.

Re: Castle
I just read what you wrote: Fillion is not getting fat!!!!

Well rounded, perhaps
Anyway, I finally got around to watching it.
Spoiler:ShowFelt this week lacked a little something though I couldn't say what.
I really don't get the little scene between Ryan/Esposito and their other halves...am I missing something?
Really loved the ghost story Becket told Castle, Fillion's face throughout that whole scene was hilarious
And a bit of Ghost Busters thrown in for a bonus!!
Whaddya reckon? -

Spoiler:ShowThink the whole Ryan and Esposito thing is to try and given their characters more depth and stop focusing on Caskett so much. If the show carried on the way it did the last three seasons, the fans would be going mad. Still, the next monday looks to be amazing! OH MY GODS!

Spoiler:ShowI don't know that it managed to do that though, it seems a bit...lame, as if it WAS just to give them more depth rather than do it subtly. I don't know, but I wasn't impressed
bar that it was ok. I suppose there's always a bit of a dip mid-season! Not seen next weeks' teaser yet, will go and search it out now!
edit: OH MY GODS!! They better not hurt Martha

Re: Castle
MARRRRTHA! WHYYYYYYY?! Ooooh, so annoyed with her. Great ****ing show though. Amazing.
Spoiler:ShowI have to say, I was in love with this episode. It was amazing! Fillion and Stana had their characters down cold and I was getting all teary eyed at various points.
I feel the message of this episode really was that Beckett is utterly head over heels in love with Castle. However, I think it's really telling that Castle knows Beckett so utterly well that he will risk things like sending messages because he knows she will understand him and trust his instincts. That shows just how close those two have gotten over the past four series.
I was gutted that Beckett didn't get a hug and I wanted to smack Martha for interrupting that moment; it was so tense. You could just tell that something was going to happen if she hadn't butt her nose in. The way Castle was smiling at Beckett and she at him was just amazing. Those two really do have it down to an art.
The whole loft scene was really good for me, purely because it showed again, how close they both are. She's becoming a part of his life, his family. I really wanted them to say something or kiss, but I enjoyed the banter that developed right at the end. Definitely one of my favourite episodes to date. Mindblowingly awesome.
I only hope the series continues with this and we get to see them getting even closer. Also, I know the episode tonight couldn't've had it, but we need to see Castle working on Beckett's mother's case. Just to show that he is, like, if nothing else. I think the loft scene foreshadows how Beckett's going to find out. They're getting really comfortable with each other, he calls her (see her face when he said "tell me you need me"?!) and goes over to hers, she's now coming to his. There's bound to be a point where she's there, fiddling with stuff and comes across the case file.
Next week is going to be a bit of a comedown, really

Lifted this from my comment on TV Overmind's review of the episode.Spoiler:ShowAmazing episode!!! I love, love, LOVED Ryan and Esposito - they guys were really on good form and they have such great chemistry "Did you hear that? I think someone's said "help police." "help police" "

I think Martha was right to butt in at that point
after all Beckett was there to save ALL the hostages, not just Castle but it was so lovely how big her smile was on her face when she saw him and he looked so god damn relieved to see her.
I reckon next week will be a bit of light relief with perhaps something happening right at the end to push the programme back towards Beckett's mother, if not next week it'll be soon. It definitely feels like something is coming to upset the balance!! -

I do like them getting a bit more of the spotlight.
True about Beckett and Martha, but still. Her smile was lovely, though, as was her blatant need to give him a hug afterwards. You could see how gutted she was when he was out hugging Alexis and Martha, she wanted in on the action.
I'm sure next week will be entertaining and stuff, but still. It will have to do a lot to live up to this week.
Let's not forget it's Sweeps now, so all the big episodes are going to be coming.
