Yeah I'm afraid so. Ah well, back to Sheffield soon hopefully.

    Dumbbell Shoulder Press-Warmup
36kg- 5,5,5 Possibly first time I have got the 3x5 here.

Squats-Did some light high rep stuff as only went with one guy. Tried out some more paused squats. But high rep paused squats are a killer for cardio

Chins-+16kg- 6,6,6,6 Probably most volume I have done on these.

    Dips-+20kg- 6,6,5
Also waited 20 seconds and did a set of non weighted dips. First 6 went up like an assisted dip but only managed 8 in the end. Might try and improve this time.
Really quick session as didn't have much time. Fairly pleased.

5 stitches in today. Not out until next Wednesday and on strict orders to do no strenuous activity until then.
Hopefully a little rest will help, have found that my squat loses weight very quickly even in small breaks but hopefully will be fine. Not as if theres much to lose at the moment and better progress will be made from around the 15th which is when I am moving back.

    Re: Josh's training log
Back in the gym today, have been really bored without it. I also managed to confirm my suspicions that for pressing and squatting I need to be doing multiple times a week. Ifnot I struggle to make progress and this way just seems to work better for me. Will take note of this of this for future reference.

    Squat- Warmup
92.5kg- 5,5,5 Possibly tougher than last time

    Dumbbell Bench-Warmup
40kg- 8,8,6 Again definitely tougher than last time. Tired on the last one.
Hoping to switch this up with barbell next week. No ides whether it will carry over. I suspect chest will more than shoulders.

    Incline Dumbbell Bench- 32kg- 8
36kg-6,7 Was going for 7 on both but missed the first set so lengthened my break slightly.

    Dips-+14kg- 6
    +16kg- 6,6

Had another go at 20 rep squat as friend wanted to try it. Same weight was moderately easier than last time but still needed a mini break around 15.

    Re: Josh's training log
Just heard that my engineering timetable for next year is pretty much full, apparently last year was a walk in the park. Not going to let it effect the gym. Will have the weekends, hopefully I will have at least 1 or 2 gaps in lectures but if not it will be before any 10am starts I do have.
Either way I am not going to be getting my nice 8 hour sleeps for much longer.

    Re: Josh's training log
    Wide grip pullups-Bodyweight-+10kg-6
+12.5kg-6,6 Getting better at these. But may lower weight slightly and insure form is correct.

Slight deficit, double overhand deadlift- worked up to 132.5- 10,10,10 Obviously grip stuff seems to work better about once a week. These felt really easy again, but next back time should be in Sheffield so can finally up the weight!

Dumbbell Rows-40kg on each side-12,12,12 Easier than before

Usual biceps at the end to finish.

    Squats-Warmup
92.5kg-5,5,5 Repeated the weight. Nice and easy this time so was happy. Also cycled about 20 miles this morning but didn't seem to affect my squatting.

    Dumbbell Shoulder Press-Warmup
36kg- 0 Messed up the clean, knocked my confidence so lowered the weight
    32kg- 8,8
36kg-5 Reassured me with the higher rep stuff.

    Chins-+16kg- 6
+18kg- 6,6 Really difficult, may have sped up on last few reps.

Dips-+20kg- 6,5,4 I guess cycling must have tired me out, also going at a different time of day was weird, felt unusually tired.

Also clearly visible abs=alot more eating needed. It is quite difficult in parents house where the only food source is rice and bread but moving back on Thursday so should pick up from then(obviously providing I have the funding.

Todays gym is not worth noting down, going to deadlift on Friday so didn't fancy doing it again today.
Some grip work, wide grip pull ups and rows.

    Re: Josh's training log
Drank a little last night and really had an effect on the gym. Possibly because I was tired more so than the alcohol but having a day off and then back to Sheffield so should be all good.
    Squat- Warmup
77.5kg-8,8,6 Did some recovery stuff. Hardly getting doms at all anymore but thought I would save going heavy until Thursday.

    Dumbbell Bench-Warmup
40kg- 8,7,5 Really struggled on this today, definitely blaming lack of sleep.

    Incline Dumbbell Bench- 32kg- 8
36kg-6,6 Glad I'm going back to uni as feel I'm stalling slightly so slight changes of workout should do me good.

    Dips-+16kg- 6,5
    Bodyweight-10

Have no idea what I am going to be doing for a gym at christmas but going to make a end of calender year goal:
    Squat-120kg
    Deadlift-180kg
Not massively optimistic but will likely struggle to get really regular gym due to engineering.
May set goals for end of uni year closer to christmas.

    100 x 3
    130 x 5
    150 x 5
160 x 3 - PB - Definitely had 5 in there. Hadn't put enough chalk on and grip slipped. I wanted to see what my 1 rep max was so reapplied.
    175 x 1 - PB - Went up really easy.
180 x 1 - PB - Much easier than my previous 170, definitely another 5kg in there. This was a bit of a shock considering I have only been doing light hip rep stuff over summer!

    +8 x 5

    Squats

    20 x lots
    60 x 5
    80 x 5
92.5 x 5 - Really hard, still getting used to squatting often so thought I would try triples just to try something different.

    95 x 3
    70 x 8

Think I may try out 3 x 5 on OHP and benching(when I have a spotter) and attempting to move up in small increments every time.

    Dips

    Bodyweight x 8
    +18 x 5
    +18 x 5
    +18 x 5

I think you have an awful lot more on OHP given your DB shoulder press.

Yeah I hope so. Its feeling slightly difficult but I'm reasonably pleased as I've never done it before. I will take a bit of time to get used to the technique as I'm still getting to grips with the slightly different stability issues.
