The Student Room Group
There is a list of certain things that need to be covered for the course to be accredited by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.

Additional material can be added, and there is no stipulation on the order in which it's taught though - so the format of individual courses may be different.
You essentially get taught the same stuff, but I find that its bundled with different stuff. As every uni is essentially preparing you for the pre-reg year and exam, they do all generally cover the same stuff.

The RPSGB must accredit the degree in order for it to be used for getting your pre-reg, so they basically tell uni's what needs to be covered. That aside, i guess it depends on what the lecturers at each uni specialise in.

We have a guy who loves herbal/complementary meds sort of thing so do loads (far too much in my opinion) on that area. If you ever get given the opportunity, avoid pharmacognosy like the plague.

I second that. I found that subject such a bore (though apparantly the project is ok)

There is a curriculum set by the RSPGB which must be followed forthe course to be accreditted. However, there is no set order, nor a set priority of what has to be tought when, or how much emphasis on certain things.

Unis will teach the core stuff, but will also teach more about their specialities in research than other stuff.
