Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?
So dumb. The vandals are people who have had a bad upbringing, lacked attention, deprived lifestyles, etc. If the majority of such people are black, then the majority of the rioters will be black. Same goes for any race. That isn't racist.
If you then are retarded enough to then go "oh, well, blacks must be predisposed towards violence!", then you become a racist. -
Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?pretty spot on(Original post by TheSownRose)
Racial tension never really went away, political correctness attempted to cover it up ... but raw emotions are running high in these riots.
What people are seeing when they go out into the streets or turn on the news is large groups of a disproportionate number of black people destroying their cities, their livelihoods, their homes. I think most people realise that a small minority of black people are rioting and that it's not only black people ... but seeing so many of them, plus racial tensions that were there along, is making black people a group to aim the criticism at.
It's much the same as I realise a very very small minority of Irish people were in the IRA ... but I'm still pissed off at the Irish for trying to blow my family and my city up for years. -

Since when were we world leaders in multiculturalism? The UK is very white, what do you want from us?
nobodies really touched on multiculturalism -
Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?
Its really annoying that as soon as anything happens with people that are not white, the old rascism card has to be drawn. Ask yourself the question of: is it racist to notice that *most* of the rioters are black? In another circumstance, would it be racist to say that *most* of the rioters were white? Why do we always have to get shifty over non white criminal activity. No one is saying 'all black people are anarchists' except those are are truly and openly racist no doubt. The rest of us hopefully have a bit of sense and deserve to be treat with a bit more respect than be threathened with being called racist for simply noticing the fact that these particular riots are dominated by people that just happen to be black. Because of our shifty ways and fear of being called racists, no one seems to draw the card that maybe the riots are racially motivated against white people - but I can say straight away that if the situation was reversed, then it would be. We need to be more open if we are true multi culturalists, and that means not being frightened to speak in fear of being called racist. If the racism card has to be drawn, at least it should be drawn equally - black and white racism. Bascially, we need to get a grip, except that humans have different skin colours, and see things in a practical light. If most of the rioters are black, then why can't we say that without worrying. We wouldn't be so worried if they were white. Being 'PC' can be just as unequal.

People are absolute idiots. If they weren't newspapers like the Sun and Daily Mail wouldn't sell as well as they do.
The fact that nowadays "immigrant" is a relatively safe way to have a go at anyone of a foreign background (regardless of whether or not they're actually immigrants) is most obvious when so many people go on about how failures in our "immigration policy" lead to these riots, whilst conveniently ignoring the fact that most of the rioters were born here (as were their parents). What do you want the government to do, go back 60 years and prevent their grandparents coming from the Carribean?
Or maybe we should deport these "immigrant" rioters back to their place of origin, i.e. Tottenham or Enfield.
This entire affair has simply shown just how entrenched racism still is in certain sectors of our society and how immigrants have been so succesfully demonised that the term is now a catch-all for any foreigner...even those who were born here. Immigrants are now automatically assumed to be behind any disturbance or criminal activity, and this is just plain wrong.
I've lost count of the number of xenophobic and racist posts and insults I've removed over the past few days from these forums. The racist (but very vocal) minority in this forum could put Stormfront to shame.
Neggers gonna neg and haters gonna hate, but I saying what needs to be said. -
Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people? As another person was saying, a lot of the sentiments expressed are in fact racist, hence why people mention racism so your comments on 'PC' aren't actually valid. People are allowed to comment on racism when they see it and unless you are extremely naive, ignorant or just haven't read all the posts, people are just 'noticing' the rioters' skin tones. If you aren't racist then you don't need to defend yourself.(Original post by Meryt-Amun)

Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?
I've been raised in a poverty stricken and deprived area of Wolverhampton by a single mother, so my views her may differ somewhat.
The black minority in my area is approximately 8%, although somewhat larger in the school I was educated in. From an early age the stereotype of underachieving, lack of respect for authority and crime within the black community have been reinforced through personal experience. Many of the youths raised here come from similar backgrounds and it baffles me as to what the problem is, having all had the same opportunities.
Gun crime in my town is common place. I've been literally 2 meters from a man firing a revolver into a crowd while walking home at night. My brother has been beaten for no reason but fun (not even wanting to take his ipod/phone), for which I made my own successful vigilante. Again reinforcing the uselessness of policing when they were made aware of the event before myself. I've been witness to a small scale riot, with machete and samurai sword wielding men, in which one innocent man with children was impaled through the neck and killed. All of which were committed by black men, between 16 and 30 years of age.
The riots today in Wolverhampton were predominantly perpetrated by black youths.
I can honestly say I've never seen any crimes of similar violence from any other races. Keeping in mind the black community in my area account for less than 1 in 10 of the population.
Please, explain this to me without saying the problem is a black problem and how you expect me not to draw a racist conclusion. (I'm actually asking someone to answer this, I'm not entirely close-minded.) -
Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?
Perhaps the British people are finally waking up and calling a spade a spade, and the race industry will get treated with the contempt it deserves.
But don't worry nothing will change, the government will just throw money at 'the black community', and there will be 'outreach meetings' between the police and the black community.Perhaps if the usual suspects scream loud enough the police will be forced to go on some ethnic sensitivity training and explain it's cultural to loot . More black, disabled lesbians will be recruited into the police ranks. New riot control will be inissweed which will be a watermelon cannon and a mobile KFC.
It will be business as usual soon, . -
Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?People see what they want to see - clearly we can see over the 3 days as many white looters as black.(Original post by cinnamon442)
Unfortunately it doesn't matter that it's a small minority of black people as a whole, the point is that it's the majority of the images we see and of the rioters.
Outside of london and birmingham we have pretty much seen 95%+ white looters. And probably most of the same bunch that trashed london during student protests.
SO by all this befuddled TSR logic whites and blacks are to blame for crime and muslims for terrorism...
So let UK be run by the non muslim asians and non english whites to get things sorted out

Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?Very true, in the live images of the riots in Birmingham there was shots of loads of whites smashing windows (there were blacks too), torching shops and looting shoes but when Birmingham police published still images for the public to come forward and identify, there was only black men and women that they chose for their posters....(Original post by BackDoorEntry)
My area is predominantly white, and all the trouble caused here were by a vast majority of white folk. They don't show that on the news though do they...
When the news and media are only choosing to publish images of ethnic rioters most of the time it's easy to see why the public is getting the false impression that these riots are being caused solely by blacks. This isn't a race issue, it's just an easy way to point blame and take easy advantage of the fact that almost 1/3 people in London aren't white. -
Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?
They're definitely darker than your average englishman, typically.
Just because there's videos with white people rioting doesn't instantly mean race isn't an issue. London is roughly 12% black, the people we've seen causing trouble are easily 50%+ black. Massive over representation. -
Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people? This argument doesn't really work since most of the videos and images people are seeing are user created content from social network sites so the 'omg the media is racist!!1' argument is pretty irrelevant.(Original post by stephen88)

Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?I've been glued to this forum for the last 48 hours. Apart from the occasional outright racist, nobody has said anything that has implied that the riots are being caused "solely by blacks". The same goes for general opinion on social network sites like Facebook and Twitter.(Original post by stephen88)

A lot of people have said that there has been an over-representation and the majority of people they've seen involved being black. Which is true, mainly because the areas where things have broken out have a high population of black people.
To be honest, the media has published quite a lot of white rioters too. There have been interviews where journalists have made it a point to state that there are plenty of rioters of races and ethnicities that aren't black.Last edited by Tabris; 10-08-2011 at 01:48. -
Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?A very good point although it would need to be looked at more closely as to whether it's the case that the ethnic minorities who are seen rioting are from poorer deprived backgrounds.(Original post by Jono404)

Well I don''t know how they're going to go to the post office on Monday to collect their benefits when they've burnt their post offices down to the ground. -

How could crime possibly be a genetic trait? Do you think it could be? (Genuine question) -

might have something to do with the fact that 95% of the people rioting and looting ARE ****ING BLACK

Re: Why are people all of a sudden becoming so racist against black people?
Because people are racist and just need something to justify their pathetic beliefs.
And all these groups on facebook about Asian people protecting their areas in the riots (which don't get me wrong I applaud) are just full of asian people agreeing with racist white people and being racist to black people as well. They need to get a grip on reality because those same racist white people you are acting all pally with don't like you either, and when this all blows over they're just going to go right back to calling you a p*** and hating on you.
