I'm betting there's already a water melon as his "friend". But, I'd have rather he came back somehow and put Derek in his place for swindling dosh from Lucy -

Glad I looked through the thread before asking what has happened on EE! Can you do a weekly round up from now on?(Original post by syrettd)
The plot is on rotation until next week, or the week after. Ben's been in a few scenes with Jay, they both seem quite happy and relaxed considering Heather. Phil is away with Shirley, which reminds me-
I started skipping scenes with Shirley, Ben and Phil a while ago, can anyone tell me when/how/if Phil got back with Shirley? Last I heard she woke up with Derek?
EDIT: And I think Jay not being able to handle 8 weeks apart is ridiculous if he really wants to be with her his whole life.

Re: Megathread of EastEnders MKIISpoilers for July 2-6/"Is it worth watching?" On everyday this week, BTW people.
Spoiler:ShowMORE Derek and his children going on. This time, Joey starts working for Michael to annoy Derek. Derek then decides to cook a family meal for him, Joey and Alice. Alice persuades Joey to come, but he invites all the Walford teenagers (which roughly amounts to about 100 people right now...). Derek gets super mad again, but Alice sees how Joey has managed the situation and decides to stay in Walford with her "sweet" old man. Joey begins a relationship with Lucy, but leaves Walford after Derek says he'll join him eventually.
Kat takes over the pub football and flirts with men to get them to join the team (remember when she told Alfie that men could smell slut on her? She doesn't need new perfume, she needs to learn to talk to men without dropping her pants). Alfie apparently sucks, but she keeps him on and throws Ray off. They lose the match, Alfie gets drunk and falls asleep, and Kat sleeps with a man- the start of the Whodunnher? storyline. She then tries to avoid the guy, and he phones the pub. Alfie tells Kat her "favourite fella" is on the line (mysterious script writing at it's best). She gives in and meets the man.
Minor storylines include Shirley going a bit crazy and starting a friendship with Jean, Lola goes to court over the car vandalism, and a couple of scenes of Zainab, Kim, and Cora (not together).
I have WAY too much time on my hands.
