Re: Proof the soul exists!Music takes us to another world; it lifts us from our own day to day concerns. Sometimes that world is terrifying, illuminating, shocking, wonderful, tragic, melancholic, etc, etc. It has little to do with connecting with a soul, more to do with our aspirations, feelings and desires, as well as our sense of individuality and connnectedness, or lack of it, with the world.

Re: Proof the soul exists!Perhaps hearing a song stirs emotions within you that cause that physical reaction? Music has a "mood", generally, then it could trigger some kind of emotional response from you based on what you associate with the mood of the music, either hearing it or what it makes you think of, or anything like that. That in turn makes the hairs stand on end because it reminds you of some kind of beautiful moment in your life, or something incredibly sad, or something incredible etc. Maybe some wavelengths in music resonate in a certain way inside your body to cause that reaction? If it isn't then could someone explain to me why your body would chemically react to hearing a song you love?

Or maybe it's a placebo effect, coming entirely from you expecting the music to be so "soul-stirring" that you unwittingly force your body to react as such. -

Stop trying to prove they exist materially bcoz it makes you look childish and silly and since your opening statement isnt very conclusive and is too vague and there are other (more logical explanations youI'll never get a discussion going with a bunch of atheists, just hate.

Re: Proof the soul exists!Has anyone ever observed a "soul" causing hairs to stand on end? No. Therefore hairs standing on end is not evidence for the existence of a soul anymore than it is evidence for the existence of a invisible goblin.
