Greggs Interview
Hi all!
I've got an interview coming up at Greggs and I'd just like some tips really. I understand they want to hear about their core values and food hygiene, but do they like to ask you questions about the history of Greggs for example? I was going to read up on them anyway, but I thought I'd ask.
Another thing is jewellery. I have a nose piercing - would you recommend I take it out for the interview? (of course I would wear a small stud if allowed). What is their policy on piercings?
Thanks! -
Re: Greggs Interview
do you have an interview or an assessment day? because it is sort of different.
I had one two weeks ago, i would recommend to take out your nose piercing as they don't even like ear rings at the least. They'll ask you questions about their selves, so gather up the history of greggs, also you'll need to know what makes you a good team member, leader and how you cope with cleaning. Another thing is they mark you in points, the more key words you mention the more points you get. Key words are like their values, legal reasons and about customer service
Good luck!

Re: Greggs Interview
i had an interview today. It was quite informal and the lady interviewing me just had to fill in prescribed sheet of questions. They were quite easy but i found some of them misleading and i answered the wrong thing, but the lady just explained again. They asked things like " what does open and honest mean to you?", tell me about when you were part of a team, what sort of duties might you have to do at greggs, how would you greet a customer, what would oyu do if you were asked to do something that you didnt want to do etc. Nothing really hard or strenuous and it was over in 25 minutes. Good luck!

Re: Greggs InterviewTeam Member Assessment Day. Thanks, I'll take it out. I thought I'd check. A girl at my school works at Greggs and she wears a nose stud, but I'm guessing it's highly unprofessional to wear one at an interview. Thank you for the advice!(Original post by KellySapphire)

Re: Greggs InterviewThanks for the tip(Original post by juliewho)
I work in a bakery similar to Greggs, they'll probably ask you questions about how you would greet a customer, what does good service mean to you, etc. Make sure you say that you like cleaning
To be fair, I actually don't mind!

Re: Greggs Interviewhaha, all in a day's work! Thank you(Original post by juliewho)

Re: Greggs Interview
first of all do not wear the nose stud, it isn't professional. I had a Greggs interview a couple weeks back and I was 2 minutes late and I was gutted. So secondly make sure your on time. In the interview remain calm and answer questions as honestly as you can... Don't come up with lies because the interviewer will notice (especially if youre not a good liar) LASTLY SMILE AND BE FRIENDLY!!! even though I was late, my bubbly personality shone through and I got the job!! LOOOOL, so you'll be fine! Considering I'm going to be working at the Westfield Stratford store and I was late, you should be fine!!! GOOD LUCK <3

Re: Greggs InterviewThanks, but I had the interview and I got rejected due to not scoring enough points on the roleplay lol!(Original post by tashareginax)

Yeah, I feel there is too much emphasis on this roleplay lark now. -
Re: Greggs InterviewOK thanks(Original post by Over The Rainbow X)
I applied online four times before I got offered an interview. Got a questionnaire to fill in on different scenarios at work.

Re: Greggs Interview
I got a greggs interview next week, but I'm unsure of something. They sent me an email saying 'It is also very important that you bring along full EMAIL contact details, including addresses, of two referees, one of which should be your current/last employer. ' I have never been employed before so what should I do? And both my references are from school teachers and therefore I've got the school addresses, and my interview takes place after the school breaks up for summer holidays. I've obviously left the school now. Please help someone
