TSR Freshers' Meet 2011UPDATE: Meet on Saturday 8 October at 2pm on Christ's Pieces! If anyone needs directions, let me know and I'll see what I can do!
Hi everyone!
I thought it might be nice to have a meet in the first few days before term officially starts so that we can all get to know each other. I don't know whether this will work out since each College has its own freshers' week timetable, but please feel free to come in and say hello and let me know if this is something you'd be interested in (and what kind of thing you'd like to do!).

Re: TSR Freshers' Meet 2011Not involved in this in anyway but surely you can meet other freshers on the first day at uni instead of organising something earlier.
Actually scratch that, I accept how bored cambridge offer holders must be since a levels are over for them

Re: TSR Freshers' Meet 2011I'm a current student, and not really - the Colleges are quite insular (and there are 31 of them!) so you have to plan with military precision to stand any chance!(Original post by Usn1)

i initially exclaimed "where's jenni?" when i saw the first post, but then breathed a sigh of relief when i saw her quoted in the other list of current students.

Well, kpatb will probably (possibly) see me around college anyhow but I'm happy to drop by as long as this doesn't end like the last TSR meet i.e. me doing 2/3 laps of Jesus Green while my friends destroy/cook pancakes in my house's kitchen

You can't blame me for that - I was working at the Union Garden party (in the rain...).
Besides, the freshers are far too enthusiastic for that to happen.

But yes, I'm more than happy to be about to meet and greet all the beautiful new freshers! Just so y'all know, from the John's JCR point of view, we've decided to start John's freshers week on 30th sept so if there are any john's soon-to-be freshers, it'd prob be best if it is before then because we have a really packed schedule!
