Hi guys, how long did it take Boots to get back to you all after having completed the online assessment? I completed it over a week ago and still haven't heard anything back!

24 pages of personality test you've got to be kidding me. They asked the same question a hundred different ways is that even possible. I await my rejection.

hi guys does anyone have any suggestions for the boots personality questions.

the different pairs seem to be divided between :

-whether you are social and get on with people over making decisions quickly. ( for example i avoid wasting time when making decisions/happy to talk to people i have not meant or whether you are generally a happy person over making decisions)
-knowledge against different concepts ( im gussing knowledge triumphs in this one)
-how you deal with situations compared to you making decisions quickly
-whether you like to experiment with ideas, or prefer getting on with people
-keeping things tidy against understanding why you are doing things.
-concepts versus practically ( im guessing practicality wins this one)

most difficult one for me to tell is: better to be decisive or creative in finding solutions for problems

    I would say:
    1) Better to be social than quick at making decisions
    2) Knowledge
    3) How you deal with situations?
    4) Better to get on with people
    5) Keeping things tidy
    6) Obviously, practically

And for the last one I guess it can be both but I think I went for decision making!

Those were the ones I went for and managed to get to the interview stage! To be honest, just by reading the job description you would know what personality to go for. Good luck :-)

hey, thanks very much!! having written them in pairings and followed what you said, the questions make a lot more sense now although unfortunately i had already sent it off.
pretty much did what you did except the keeping things tidy, because i thought it would make me seem more balanced although now I can see it is the obvious answer is and fits in with the whole being practical thing. oops. ahh well at least i'll know for next time! would have also been useful i read the job description properly as well lol :P.hopefully you only need a certain percentage of correct answers thanks again

i always chose the friendly options and always happy in work vibe. As thats what they seem to look for.
Thank you! This one my second time doing it and I could do it a lot faster this time because I knew what path to follow. Instead of being the hasty decision maker who always wanted to find new ways of doing task that they found boring. I was the outgoing, friendly colleague who always wanted to talk to people and was very understanding of peoples issues.

A few months ago I applied for a job at Boots Smashbox cosmetics consultant, got through to the colleague assessment then got rejected. A few days ago I applied for 2 Christmas Temp jobs and it's saying I've completed the colleague assessment? Do they just use the answers from the previous colleague assessment if you've did one? Because I haven't done one for the Christmas temp jobs and I'm really confused! And I haven't had a response back either? Is this a good or a bad thing?

Just recently applied to boots and took into consideration these two posts.
It makes a lot of sense once you start doing a couple of questions in the personality test of what to choose. Thank you for making my life much easier, much appreciated. Hope I pass to the next stage (interview).

    Hey

Well keep in mind that Boot's main policies/objectives are excellent customer service.

Always choose the answer that is best for the customer, remembering that they are always right
We are also encouraged to get them the best deal possible, so 3 for 2 etc.
And they are obsessed with the boots advantage card scheme as it's excellent for the customers etc. 4points per pound

Other than this, make sure you choose the answers which you think will be best for a customer assistant

Also read the skills they are looking for, then choose the answer appropriate to the skills wanted:

    Genuinely want to help people.
Be interested in how other people may be feeling.
Be sociable, enjoy spending time with others and look for opportunities to build relationships with people.
Be comfortable in new situations and meeting new people.
Remain calm under pressure, and be optimistic and positive.
Be keen to ask questions to understand the customers' needs and to learn about new products, promotions and offers.
Be reliable and conscientious, completing tasks and not leaving it for others.
Enjoy sharing knowledge to help sales.

Any more questions, I'm happy to answer! I know how difficult it is to get a job
