At first I was like  but once I thought about for a bit it makes sense. (Or rather, it makes a lot more sense than the £3.50 water sentence :facepalm2: )

By setting up the Facebook site, they were potentially inciting damage on a huge scale. It's comparable to an Islamic extremist attempting to radicalize other Muslims and coercing them into committing crime.

I don't think that was fair...some of the looters didn't even get that much sentence.

This.

Our legal system is so effed up.

Perhaps, but there are some looters who were actually convicted who got smaller sentences.

good.
Fair...... though I reckon the time served would be significantly less if they appealed. Possibly a further reduction for good behaviour etc.
I agree that they should have been punished but 4 years? Come on... You can smash somebody's head in and only get a fraction of that. I guess that says more about how lenient our sentencing is more than anything but it does seem a tad too much.

Thanks for regurgitating this off the daily mail website

Happy? It took me a few seconds to go to Google and type in "Facebook incite four years", probably quicker than it took you to think up and post that "lol Daily Mail" comment.

its fair in that i want to see these pricks locked up and i don't care how long

what isn't fair is how a murderer can get a similar sentence as someone who has said a few things on facebook

Well, it's fair enough, they shouldn't be encouraging that behaviour, especially by setting up a facebook group. Still, the irony is they didn't create any further riots..

Just think, they get 3 square meals, and sex every night (Whether they want it or not!)
Good.

Now if only other crimes got just sentences...

Why am i suddenly reminded of the movie, Deliverance?

I do know about that. No need to roll your eyes, I'm going to QMUL to do my LLB in September I understand why they are going.

However I am saying eff their life.

I like the way you said "I haven't started my Law degree yet - I evidently know all about the law."

Nevermind the sentence -

Why on earth are people on here sniggering about how those two people are going to get sexually assaulted and made miserable in jail? Seriously? That's something you're actually pleased about?
Surely community service would be more appropriate than a prison sentence? All this does is pointlessly cost the taxpayer money.

Yep.

You ruin peoples' livelihoods and kill innocents out of greed, you deserve to be bummed against your will at the very least.

Oh really? Is this your idea of justice?

I might add that nobody ever died and nobody's livelihood was ever ruined at the hands of those two kids, but I suppose that point would be lost on you.
