How much isit roughly? I know CRB is around 50 but i cant seem to find any info on this :/

I sort of think it depends on the uni because my one asked me to pay for one which is around 58 :/ It says on the directgov website that it's £26 for standard and £44 for enhanced

Apparently according to the interviewers when I went for my Winchester interview, there is no real difference, it is just a name referring to the department where the degree was first written. Therefore one degree is not necessarily harder than another just because it was written in the science/social science department(s).

Here is my advice from one mother to another
When i started my Bsc (hons) Social work My 3 Children were aged 6, 8 and 10. i won't lie and say it hasn't been challenging, but when the university say it is full time hours they simply mean they expect you to study/read a if you were completing fulltime hours, our lectures are never more than 12 hours a week but they expect you to study/read for a further 20-25 hours a week, although it's hard to stay focussed for this long it does mean that you can fit it in around school runs, bedtimes etc. i'm in my final year now and can honestly say that the most chalenging times for me have been when i have been on practice placement and that really is a 9-5 issue, however this only goes on for 100 days at a time. i have been a bit of a part time parent but my children are so proud of what i am doing and why i'm doing it. Kids are wonderfully resilient, and they will cope with the demands of the course better than you will probably lol.

Hi there v sorry to butt in on your post but u were v inspiring I wonder if you could give me some advice- Im 32 & have just found out I have a place on social worker degree full time 3 yr course..Im a mother of 2 kids 5 & a 15 mt old..Im worried as my husband is not wanting to support me financially & in anyway but I am going to find a way round all of this if I can..is it a very full time course? my main concern is childcare costs for my youngest & how many hours we spent in uni sorry for the essay

Does anyone know how leniant universities are with Social Work? I mean like if we don't quite make our grades what are the chances of them still accepting us because they've met us face to face when interviewing, put our crbs through and stuff?

Technically, a BSc is a Batchelor of Science and BA is Batchelor of Arts. I was told by my college tutor that BSc's tend to be a bit better received but I really don't think employers would take much notice of it at all, if any.
