Ok I think... To be honest I only just started it properly today (but I wrote a ton of notes for it in March). Need a B to get the A my uni offer requires :/ Hope it's a nice paper!(Original post by sasha165)

weber realised that we cannot be objective and should make our biases apparent.
you get top marks by comparing it with popper who was a positivist and therefore thought that sociology should be free from values (objective) -

But the june 2011 question was "sociology can be value free and should be value free" so uses both ideology and science and value freedom so surely they cant ask a ideology and science question or value freedom one, right?(Original post by risteard)

I got 100% in the Education unit and 98% in the family and household unit, an overall A in my A-level (this was two years ago). I studied from Ken Browne. The key is to look at past papers and practice writing main essays because they carry a lot of marks, especially in A2 units. I listed, as many as I could, two sides of the arguments for each essay question.

Hey everyone, I recently got awarded an A (5 marks off an A*!) in my Sociology A-level, and I know that at times it can be difficult, confusing, and people don't really know where the hell to start in their revision!
I took Families and Households, Education, Beliefs in Society and Crime and Deviance, along with the research and theory involved! If anybody has any questions, do not hesitate to ask as I really enjoyed the course and would be happy to help x -

Re: Need any help with AQA Sociology? from 'A' grade A-level student!I did education & wealth, poverty and welfare in AS and after getting a D in the january exams i realised how to revise properly (which for me is to read through my notes quite a few times till i know the main points and to draw mindmaps with colours :P) so got a B. Hoping to get an A for A2 because i love the crime and deviance module!
