    Falling Skies
Does anyone else watch this? I just finished the first season. It's soooo good, especially towards the end of the season. The aliens look so badass & menacing it's great! Wasn't expecting the ending either, which is always nice.

Pretty glad there's still some good sci fi on TV after all the cancellations recently (SGU, The Event to name two). I mean it does have a lot of problems, the acting is bad in places, the plot rather unbelievable (especially that missile in ep 10), and overall too emotional. But it's a nice show to sit down & watch.

Is this the show about the aliens who want kids for some reason and they possess them or something. If it's what I'm thinking of, then it is rather good.

I thought the first season was really good, I just hope it gets enough ratings to stay on for a good few seasons.

Tell me about it! There's hardly any good Sci-Fi on TV any more.

I sound like a selfish kid but it is not fair! Especially with terrible shows that are on season after season yet sci-fi shows are always getting cancelled!

ooo il have to watch out for this - personally i thought the first season was mostly awfull, right up untill the end...

far to cheesy, overly religous at times etc... --- but that kinda made it my guilty pleasure, and i ended up quite enjoying it...

Christianity is great for this show and all Sci FI shows. Atheism does not need to be splashed around on tv. It's sickening

What a shame the show got canceled. I liked both this and Terra Nova.

OMG it hasn't been cancelled! Woo!

Geez I really regret deleting the first season off my computer now. Need to find the channel now... what channel is it being broadcast on here in the UK?

I don't think it's started here yet but it's on episode 3 in America. It's available on various torrent websites.

    It's normally broadcast on FX.

The shows okay, don't exactly watch it for the acting or writing, it passes the time well enough.

I always thought Hal was a likeable character but I was just going through the IMDB message boards and everyone seems to hate him :p:

They move around too much as well.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I just finished watching the second season finale. It's actually gotten a lot better this season. Less emphasis on kids being harnessed and with some added crazy **** - rebel skitters, a new US capital, the fish heads actually being important. And Ben just became a badass overnight. Can't wait for the third season.

Just finished season 2. I really hope Revolution turns out to be decent because I am craving a decent post-apocalyptic type show. This show has potential but the writing is so bad and is letting the show down. The show is way too family friendly which leads to some cringe dialogue between the characters as well.

    Spoiler:
    Show
I can't believe we're going to have another season where one of the main storyline will end up being whether a Mason can be trusted or not, this will be 3/4 now. And have you ever watched a show were you feel absolutely no connection to any of the characters that die so that when they finally do die, you don't really care? I read somewhere that there will be a major death in the finale but I genuinely can't tell whether that was meant to be the red eyed skitter or Dai, and either way I didn't really care. For a show that spends nearly all it's time trying to develop characters and relationships it does a pretty piss poor job of it.
